@ArturMeinild Your question is nicely written as always :). Would you be interested in adding a link to the actual bug report that Halfgaar put together in your answer? Just for the sake of completion and for those who couldn't be bothered to read the comments...
A small rant:
<rant> I don't often answer questions on AU these days but I am always tempted by media questions (FFmpeg | MPlayer | mpv etc). The one I answered the other day was clearly asked with an obvious answer but it was bedeviled with calls for Ubuntu version and more clarity; also down-voted 3 times and nominated for closure. The call for the OP to read the man pages was of course the icing on the cake. Some days I face-palm and just stare in frustration at my keyboard. Sigh... </rant>

Q: Where is MPV save state location?

UsermaxnWhere does mpv saves or logs the state when using --save-position-on-quit or shift+q? This is used to save the exit state in order for video to play from where it left off when exiting mpv.

Is Ubuntu Cinnamon going to be an official flavor in 23.04? I found some daily builds here cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntucinnamon/daily-live

@ArchismanPanigrahi Looks highly probable although the 'official' documentation has not caught up yet: wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuCinnamon/23.04/Proposal

@andrew.46 Unbelievable (but not really :P)! The question is perfectly clear, perfectly on-topic, the Ubuntu version is irrelevant (I flagged the comment asking about that), mpv's version could be relevant but no one cared to ask about that, asking if the OP has read the man page is absolutely pointless if the relevant part of the man page isn't mentioned.
At least at the moment the upvotes equal the downvotes, but IMO it's a good question which should be positively voted.
Nice answer from you! I also added the link to mpv's manpage for completeness.

@andrew.46 hopefully this will get you a lifejacket badge 😁
@andrew.46 Done 👍

It annoys me a little bit that we didn't find the root cause of this issue: askubuntu.com/questions/1461034/…
The upgrade worked, but it was never revealed why 1) The "Universe" version of Nala didn't work after a purge and reinstall, and 2) why the impacted Python module didn't upgrade properly with the new version.. 🤔

@Natty fp
Well I was sick yesterday and blew a 500+ day consecutive visit streak.

@NotTheDr01ds Bummer - sh#t happens.. 😬 Hope all is better !

@ArturMeinild Much better, thanks! Just had me so wiped yesterday that i barely looked at a screen until after the UTC clock rolled over. Still have my SO streak going, but lost my AU, U&L, and SU ones. Only the UL one was anything decent. I commonly forget to check U&L in a 24 hour period, and I'd lost my SU one accidentally maybe 150 days ago :P

Heh, I lost my streak on the weekend because I went outside and "touched grass". :D

@popey Ouch, careful with that 😅

Get them to use tree to understand the directory structure. I suspect he has a folder called move.sh or something

I feel like voting to close this, as maybe the author has found a bug in his own application, that should be fixed??

Q: apt-get update broken packages

maxwattafter my last "sudo apt-get update" command I received to have some broken packages, so I try to fix them and obtain the following result: sudo apt-get install -f Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Reading state information... Done Correcting dependencies... Done The ...

However, the lack of solid detail is amazing - so somehow I doubt that he's the developer - and if he is, that's one reason not to use apt-rollback 😬
@popey Good idea!

3:30 PM
@popey Thanks for confirming - however, that doesn't change anything about all the other issues with the post.. 😬
I wonder (honestly) if it's because he has a hard time understanding what I'm asking?
Ok, he came to his senses and rolled out a new VM - that took some time.. Case closed.
