NAA, totally misinterprets the question
Btw we have a number of other questions that mention error messages like that in Brasero. I suspect some are duplicates of others.

@Zanna I have found that to work in the past.

ok :)

I don't think it always works, but I do think it makes sense as an answer.

@karel FYI, I can access the revision history of comments and thus all their original line breaks, which makes it a lot easier to edit command output into a question! So you can always ask me to do that if needed
can we erase the typo part which is no longer useful to that question?

@Zanna In this case it wouldn't have helped because the two comments contained duplicate content and had to be corrected anyway to preserve the logical order of the terminal results. I don't recommend erasing it yet, because it's still relevant. Maybe the OP forgot to update first with sudo apt update.

is this question really a dupe of those?

@Zanna The OP has recently edited the question to indicate that the first-linked dupe target solved their problem. So I think so.
@karel I don't see an answer there that would actually work for an application that itself runs gksudo. In particular, having an alias called gksudo will not help for that.

@EliahKagan thanks :)

@Zanna Is the Markdown of a comment's current revision accessible via SEDE?

10:17 AM
@EliahKagan the Markdown is what's in the Comments table's Text field, yes

Sorry, I guess I should've been able to find that out.

no problem at all!

@EliahKagan I don't know if copying and pasting from the query results displayed on the page works (it's super awkward on my small screen anyway), but I've just downloaded the CSV for a query that returns comment text and it has all the line breaks
hmm that might not be what you were interested in though, sorry

That is what I was interested in.

:)
it has Windows line endings though
oh, but not in the body of the comment...
here is one comment with newlines as it appears in the CSV
"{^M$
  ""id"": 1892592,^M$
  ""title"": ""Some python code is printed like this`!/usr/bin/python3\nif __name__ == \""__main__\"":\n    if \""--debug\"" in sys.argv[1:]:\n        logging.basicConfig(level=logging.DEBUG)\n    elif \""--verbose\"" in sys.argv[1:]:\n        logging.basicConfig(level=logging.INFO)\n    \n    db = CommandNotFound.dbpath\n    if not os.access(os.path.dirname(db), os.W_OK):\n        print(\""datbase directory %s not writable\"" % db)\n        sys.exit(0)\n\n    command_files = glob.glob(\""/var/lib/apt/lists/*Commands-*\"")\n    if len(command_files) > 0:\n
with cat -A I mean

This question has already got 4 unclear votes. I think point 4 from my answer might help the OP. Even if I close to vote as dupe, it'll be closed as unclear.
Should I vote? Maybe a mod can dupe hammer. (Since I'm the owner of the answer on the target, I don't mean advertising my answer)

@Kulfy It looks like a pretty good answer. Here is a suggestion to improve your answer. Check out the Level Camera app ★★★★☆ in the Google Play Store.

@Kulfy I've retracted my close vote for unclear. If one more such vote is retracted, then it can easily be closed as a duplicate.

Thanks.
@karel Recently I upgraded to a Samsung device from a Motorola device and camera seems pretty decent in the Samsung. I completely forgot that I can now click better pictures and update those in my older answers. I'll update the pictures when I restart my system. Thanks for the suggestion by the way.

I found a bug in the syntax highlighting on SEDE
in Raiders of the Lost Downboat, 2 days ago, by Zanna
the syntax highlighting got screwed up but it worked

@Zanna Is there a bug report for it on MSE?

idk... not even sure how to describe what happened

12:13 PM
@Zanna I don't know the best way to describe it, but '\' in an ESCAPE clause is being highlighted as if the single quote that immediately follows the backslash is actually syntactically escaped by the backslash.
Though perhaps it's been reported but poorly tagged.
So, is the editor here claiming to have tested it on 20.04? It looks like the edit just adds that release in the absence of anybody saying that it actually works on that release. My guess is that it does work...
I think the conversion from readable prose to a less-readable (and unintroduced) bulleted list harms this post more than the addition of <kbd> formatting helps it.

@EliahKagan I feel so

Do you feel like reporting it?

@EliahKagan Would have liked if they didn't change the phrasing. kbd and bullets are ok on their own there.

12:33 PM
@EliahKagan Does the very first sentence serve any purpose? If we assume that the answers on AU are updated for newer releases as well, I don't think that line is even required.

Sure, I can do that
@EliahKagan thanks!

@jokerdino Was that question upto SE's standards? o.O

@Kulfy Do you want to test it?

@Zanna I don't know much T-SQL, so I don't know exactly when the special meaning of ' is taken away when it appears after a backslash. But considering that query works and does what it's intended to do, this is clearly one of these cases where the special meaning of ' is preserved.
@Kulfy If there are supported Ubuntu releases older than those for which the method shown there doesn't work, then it serves a purpose.

@EliahKagan I was looking for my mistake for a while before I tried running it

12:49 PM
And that's the beauty of two sides of a coin.
@jokerdino I'm afraid of Smokey :P

1:21 PM
@Zanna If there were an error in your query, running it might have illuminated the error...

@Kulfy there's one on meta too
true!
posted poorly phrased report

@Zanna Thanks!
I'm going to move the messages about that SEDE bug to the Downboat, if you don't mind, since it's a direct continuation of something that started there, it's on-topic there, and it's not an overly long technical discussion (and even if it continues a while, it probably won't become that, in the sense we mean for considering moving things out of the Downboat).

1:37 PM
@EliahKagan yes, you're right that it belongs there, that would be great, thanks!
