NAA. It seems to be intended as an answer to the actual question on the main site that the meta question is about, or perhaps as a comment on the answer there.

what could have been the real problem here? The answer is not satisfying. I feel the problem is not reproducible (at least not by just using UNetBootIn)

those new questions ought to be un-protected later I think - no reason to think they will be spam-targets again

That makes sense.

I'll keep the tabs open

can't tell whether this question is on topic (is the problem something to do with running on Ubuntu?)

8:05 PM
@Zanna I'd say it is about programming on Ubuntu (although not explicitly mentioned) -> Leave open

@zanna did you see my explanation i provided you a link to

@guntbert But, programming on Ubuntu is only on topic if there's something Ubuntu-specific about it, right? Like, "why does my code not compile?" isn't on topic just because OP is running Ubuntu - only if the code doesn't compile specifically because of something about the Ubuntu environment...
@Videonauth yes! thank you :) I appreciate your insight. Maybe this is the case in many other languages too.

The problem had to do with calling the code on ubuntu so I'd be inclined to leave open too

I guess so, like i said i can only speak for german since it is my L1

@Zanna as far as I remember there was never an actual consensus about where exactly the border should be drawn - so I tend to follow my feelings (within the ambiguous range, that is)

8:24 PM
@Seth yeah, it looked that way to me. My problem is a lack of technical knowledge. That's why I'm asking

:)

(:
time to call it a day

gn!

thanks :) \o
