@SreeCharan Hello Again

Jai Sreemannarayana Hello and Shubhodayam. @anuvaramban

@SreeCharan Namo Narayanaya, Do you want to discuss regarding SriHayavadana Perumaal?

@anuvaramban Sure.

@SreeCharan There's confusing accounts of why he specifically took Horselike Avatara, what is the reliable account for the same?

@anuvaramban Yes. There are different accounts on how Hayagriva perumaal avatar took place.
One of them is when Vishnu's head feel off. Then Devatas replaced the head with a horse's face to slay a demon called Hayagriva. @anuvaramban

3:21 AM
@SreeCharan Why did it fall off? Wasn't the Demon named Hayagriva the one that supplies the head?

@anuvaramban But the horse represents both a calm and knowledge and a person who is no control over his senses.
Here horse face of Hayagriva perumal represents the former.

@SreeCharan you mean in the sense of Shvetashvatara ?

@anuvaramban Yes.

@SreeCharan So is it the Demon's head that Vishnu takes on? Or is this head crafted by Devas specifically? How did Vishnu come to lose his head in the first place?

3:37 AM
@anuvaramban Once Srimannarayana was taking a nap in a sitting position with his bow as support. Devatas wanted to wake up the lord and explain the problem to him. But they didn't want to wake up him directly so Brahma created a termite to eat the bow so that Vishnu will fall down. Termite starts biting the tip of the bow where the string is tied. As this is untied, die to high pressure, the string strongly struck back and hit the neck of Vishnu. All the devatas were shocked and replaced head with
a horse face and Brahma brought Vishnu back to life. Bow strings were made with animals' nerves which have greater elasticity. So the range of the warrior's arrows was also greater. @anuvaramban
This all was a leela of Vishnu in order to slay a demon named Haygriva who attained a boon that who could be only slain by one who is identical with him. So Vishnu took the avatar.

@anuvaramban The story is described in this chapter of Shatapatha Brahamana: sacred-texts.com/hin/sbr/sbe44/sbe44117.htm
@anuvaramban the Puranic account of above story is as: sacred-texts.com/hin/db/bk01ch05.htm

@SreeCharan Thank you for the lucid narrative. @Tezz Many Thanks! I will check this out.

1 hour later…
5:06 AM
@RohitSinghRathore @RakeshJoshi Do either of you have Yogaraja's Vivriti on Abhinavagupta's Paramarthasara in Sanskrit? I have Abhinavagupta's Paramarthasara in both Sanskrit and English, and I have Yogaraja's Vivriti in English, but I don't have Yogaraja's Vivriti in Sanskrit.

5:21 AM
@anuvaramban - Yes , thanks , I will try o give answer based on other texts in time😊💐👍

@TheDestroyer For some reason I'm not able to OCR this PDF using Google: gdurl.com/J2jZ
@TheDestroyer In this case, I'm not even trying to OCR Sanskrit text, I'm just trying OCR English text.
@TheDestroyer But it says "unable to process text".

5:39 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan ohh.. I think font problem. But not sure. English text should work. let me try.

@TheDestroyer OK
@TheDestroyer By the way, I'm only interested in doing OCR for the last two pages.

@KeshavSrinivasan Problem is with sides of books. Computer thinks "side portions" as non convertable text. Crop it and try. It should work. Even i faced same problem when i did OCR for Skanda Purana.
I mean side portions which shows "breadth" or previous pages of book.

@TheDestroyer Oh ok

5:56 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan i did. But English text isn't clear.

@TheDestroyer OK thanks, it worked.

@KeshavSrinivasan ohh..it failed for me.

@TheDestroyer Oh that's weird, it worked perfectly for me once I cropped it.
During the state of trance, the spiritual adept cognises negation or the void as the object of his knowledge. But since the cognisor's Self cannot be an object of knowledge) the spiritual adept on reflection) has the experience "I am not even this negation or void." In this way, another kind of void has to be admitted as the Self. Therefore the Brahmavadins regard the void as the Self only after giving up any particular kind of void in their descriptions of the real Self, using such expressions as "not this, not this." The author has tried to convey this in the verse by using the phrase "ex

@RohitSinghRathore @RakeshJoshi @Rickross I just posted a question on Buddhism.SE related to Kashmiri Shaivism:
0
Q: What is the Buddhist text quoted by the Hindu philosopher Yogaraja?

Keshav SrinivasanOne of the sects of Hinduism that used to be popular in the Kashmir region of India was Kashmiri Shaivism. Now this excerpt from the Paramarthasara Vivriti, a work by the 11th century Kashmiri Shaivite philosopher, discusses the delusion that arises from confusing that which is Self from that wh...

@Tezz You may be also be interested in it as it pertains to Buddhism.

6:45 AM
Oh
Good question. You are reading Paramārthasāra nowadays? @KeshavSrinivasan

@KeshavSrinivasan Oh ok...
@TheDestroyer I just finished reading the story of Indradyumna... It's interesting and full of suspense... 😀😀

7:05 AM
Please answer-
1
Q: Why was Mother Saraswati so unfair with KumbhaKarna?

Anurag SinghWe all know the story that to stop KumbhaKarna from asking boon from Brahma, all Gods eulogized Saraswati to enter KumbhaKarna's mouth to ask- "I may sleep for years". And Mother Saraswati did it! Why were Gods so unfair, specially the kind Mother of Universe Saraswati? Even if one asks for boo...

@Tezz yeah.

Btw @KeshavSrinivasan I think none has read Buddhists texts so thoroughly in HSE to answer your question. You can ask on Buddhist SE as well. :)

@RohitSinghRathore he asked that in Buddhism SE...
@AnuragSingh It's all due to complex laws of Karma... Kumbhakarna was destined to be so due to his Karmas...

7:33 AM
Haha @KeshavSrinivasan @Tezz I think I might answer.

@TheDestroyer No offence intended but it looked like Arabic

@SreeCharan - Haha , Also like someone practising on Typewriter ⌨

7:51 AM
@Tezz when we do not get answers we attribute to Karma. Then was this also bad karma- All the Pandavas were direly devoted to ShreeKrishna, the Lord of Universe. Why were they to suffer so many distress- Arjuna had to act like a Eunuch. Narayana could have removed all their distress, this is also Karma. If yes, then what happened to KumbhaKarna's karma when he performed austerities.

I've attempted to answer. @Tezz @KeshavSrinivasan

A: What is the Buddhist text quoted by the Hindu philosopher Yogaraja?

Rohit Singh RathoreThe works of Yogarāja being very old clearly tells Anatta (not self) means not self of 'I' which is psycho-phyical. The term self in the 'not self' doesn't mean lack of super consciousness but lack of psycho-phyical consciousness. E.g, When we say - I'm doing, I'm eating, I'm playing etc. Here 'I...

8:13 AM
@RohitSinghRathore ok... nice.. I upvoted... but which is the Buddhist text from where that quote is taken...?

Is it possible to increase the reputation needed to answer protected questions to 50 OR 100 instead of 10
@TheDestroyer @Pandya

@AnuragSingh "when we do not get answers we attribute to Karma." Haha... Yeah... even if we get answer they are justified through law of Karma... so even if we do not get answer we can still say law of Karma... because if we get answer... it would be law of Karma...
@AnuragSingh regarding the suffering of Pandavas, it is also law of Karma... 5 Pandavas were Indras in their previous birth and they should spend present life taking some account of past Karmas too...
9
Q: Who were the previous Indras that incarnated as the Pandavas?

Keshav SrinivasanIt's well-known that the Pandavas were all sons of gods: Yudhishthira was the son of Yama god of death, Bhima was the son of Vayu the wind god, Arjuna was the son of Indra king of the gods, and Nakula and Sahadeva were sons of the twin Ashwini Kumaras. But these weren't the only gods they were i...

8:29 AM
@SreeCharan not even arabic.
@SwiftPushkar why?
But your should request it on meta SE.

@TheDestroyer - Rep 10 user's also do not seems to answer properly as required , increasing the required rep.will serve the full purpose of protecting questions. IMO😊

@SwiftPushkar We should DV those answers.

@SwiftPushkar But We should request that feature on meta SE. They may consider it.

@TheDestroyer They won't.

@SreeCharan Why?

8:38 AM
Your rep sinks down to 1 under 1 hour and there comes a status-declined tag from a CM.

@SreeCharan for what?

@TheDestroyer Because SE doesn't consider each site special regarding standard rules of SE like badges, privileges etc.,

@SreeCharan - Nope this will not solve or will address the problem , the new user's will continue answering those questions 😊

but i have no problem with 10 rep. just saying @SwiftPushkar we can ask on meta.

@TheDestroyer People there won't hesitate to downvote questions.

8:41 AM
@TheDestroyer - ok , that's what I asked , is it possible for mods or it requires special permission from SE👍👍

@SreeCharan Not for only Hinduism SE!, for everyone. The moment we go to Meta SE, it applies to all sites.

There are questions with -100 votes too.

@SreeCharan - Haha 😀 Amazing

@TheDestroyer People don't find this a problem on other sites. So the mods may decline because this is only one site problem and advises to put more quality on other issues

@SreeCharan - Yes 👍👍

8:47 AM
@SwiftPushkar Look at these questions and check whether if this question is asked before.

@SreeCharan - Its like a chain reaction , One thing I observed on HI SE that its more likely that question and answer with 2 upvotes will gain further more upvotes from users , likr a chain reaction
so users are waiting for other users reaction and then cast votes , instead of deciding themselves 😀

@SwiftPushkar On meta.SE?

@SreeCharan - No here HI SE😊

@Tezz are you really laughing.... Is it also due to Karma. I was actually laughing were much because you said, "It is law of karma,". So now still I did not get my answer because of law of Karma. 😂😂😂

@SwiftPushkar If you don't know, there is a CM in one of the rooms you are currently in. Which room it is and who is it? Guess.

8:53 AM
@SreeCharan - Ok , but what is CM , Chief minister? 😀 sorry ,I really don't know 😊👍👍

@SwiftPushkar Community moderator. Who are big bosses over these moderators.

@SreeCharan - Ohh ,ok , will see👍

@RohitSinghRathore Haha yeah, I'm constantly reading a ton of different things. And I don't just read Hindu texts, I've read large parts of the Bible, the Quran, the Tao Te Ching, the works of Thomas Aquinas, the dialogues of Socrates, etc. As Sun Tzu said "Know your enemy."

@SreeCharan - Is it our keshav 😀

@SreeCharan CM stands for Community Manager, not Community Moderator.
@SwiftPushkar No, I'm not a CM.

8:59 AM
@SwiftPushkar NO.
@KeshavSrinivasan Ok. I stand corrected.

@KeshavSrinivasan - 😀😀👍👍
@KeshavSrinivasan - But you are surely a community Manager here On Hinduism SE💐🌷🍫👍👍

@AnuragSingh First of all. Reason is explained in @KeshavSrinivasan's answer. So there is no need to answer specifically I believe. Second of all, What Vaagdevi did was not injustice. Their karma was destined any lakhs of years ago. If you are not willing to hear this statement, Jaya and Vijaya were born and Kumbhakarna. 3. Kumbhakarna was more cruel than Vibhishana and lesser than Ravana by birth. He did penance for more cruelty but Devatas pleaded to stop them. So Vaagdevi did like that,

@AnuragSingh Yeah... I may be really laughing... or may I not be really laughing too... actually there is difference among schools of philosophy whether I'm really laughing or not... who knows?... maybe he who surveys from the highest heaven knows or he may not know also.... 😀😀😀😀

9:23 AM
@Tezz Hail Tejeshwara Maharaj. Materialistic beings like us can't understand your advanced spiritual talks. Will you please shower your grace by condensing it in normal language? We are hopeless without spiritual masters like you.

@SreeCharan haha lol..

😀😀😀😀

@SreeCharan - New Nasadiya sukta - Rushi - Tezz , Chanda - Gadya ,Place - Hinduism SE , Nepa ,l Time -Kali-Yuga 👍👍

@SwiftPushkar haha

9:46 AM
I think Rushi Tezz frequently take a nap 😀😴 @Tezz

@SwiftPushkar He is going to samadhi state.

@SreeCharan - Yes previously I was also calling that state of his as a Samadhi , but considering this is a afternoon and Rishies also need to sleep like we agyanis I said a little nap😊

Q: Which Hindu god/deity has most temples?

AADHinduismIs there any authentic data captured by a reputed institute or organization, that clearly shows which Hindu God/Deity has highest no. of temples in India? Does any Government body or NGO keep track of this information? I know it is challenging to categorize what is a temple and what is not, but...

What about other small temples on the premises of main temples , what about temples which are currently under construction , what about temples submerged in dam waters , what abt.temples in ruined states , we never will get exact data ,yes we could get no. of registered temples through gov.

@KeshavSrinivasan @SreeCharan Sri Vaishnava looks dominating in community poll! Haha

12:23 PM
@Tezz Read the comments in my answer, I've told there.
Oh great @KeshavSrinivasan . "Know your enemy"- btw, you have qualities to become ajātshatru. ;-)

@RohitSinghRathore Oh ok... I just saw...

@Tezz Buddhism SE guys downvote without any reason.

1:25 PM
@Pandya Haha.. there are other sect people in our site too but they didn't vote on their respective answers I think.
@RohitSinghRathore To be frank, our site is the only site which has users who hesitate to downvote answers.

@SreeCharan haha. but there are some users who downvote without any hesitations.
We can easily know them.

I have encountered 3 types of downvoters so far. 1. Who leave a comment everytime they downvote. They retrieve the downvote if the mistake is corrected2. Who have a lot of time to dv all the posts but do not have a moment to explain their dowmvote. 3. Targetted downvoters: They downvote but give ridiculous reasons in comment sections.
@TheDestroyer @RohitSinghRathore @Tezz @KeshavSrinivasan @SwiftPushkar @Pandya

@SreeCharan this downvoting is problem on all SE sites. But relatively here intensity is less. Only some people here downvote and most of them come under category 2).

First category is best type of users.

@RohitSinghRathore I think they downvoted because they thought we are promoting Hinduism there... as both question and answer are from Hinduism SE users...

1:36 PM
@SreeCharan 1st category is constructive.
@Tezz do you have link for question?

@TheDestroyer which question?...

Yes. This question.

@RohitSinghRathore I upvoted both question and answer but it got neutralized....haha... actually I have already cited 106 upvotes in Buddhism SE.. buddhism.stackexchange.com/users/8561/tezz

@SreeCharan whatever Gods do, be it cruel or benevolent, is justified in any or some way. But even if Demons do good, it is always attributed to their cruelty or greed. Gods and Demons at the end are brothers, born to same Kashyap Rishi. But still everyone discriminates.

@AnuragSingh When gods do cruel or wrong, we should condemn it too. Or we should find good in anti - gods deeds.
But in most of the cases, we can't find a chance to do the latter one. @AnuragSingh

1:56 PM
@SreeCharan yes. I know there might be some or the other reason for Mother Saraswati's doing it. And you are right, when Gods do something wrong, they also get its result.

@AnuragSingh No. Mother saraswati did it for the same reason.
In one of the answers to a similar question asked before, there is an answer which says devas pleaded to Brahma to not give boons because he was eating too much.
> Kumbhakarna was able to eat a lot of food in his single meal since his childhood. The quantity of his single meal is equal to the food you can say like your whole life's food quantity.

Because of this the Devas from swarg ( heaven ) were in very much tension that if he lives for more like this then the whole earth's food will be finished.
Above claim is false and is made for a TV serial.
@AnuragSingh Kumbhakarna was not that evil by birth and had mercy. But according to Rakshasa dynasty, being evil is type of eligibilty to be king of them. So he wanted to be more evil and wanted to be merciless. This shouldn't be granted as a boon by brahma. So Saraswatidevi entered the tongue of Kumbhakarna and made him to spell निर्दया as निद्रा. Food is only artistic imagery.

3:02 PM
@Tezz Although I've upvoted, I had read the reason but it was not satisfactory. I think it is not complete translation.
Yes @SreeCharan rightly observed. @Tezz yes they must have thought so.

@RohitSinghRathore about my recent answer.. ?..

3:17 PM
@SreeCharan - metaEd 😎

@SwiftPushkar no again. Here is a hint. He is in the room you are not currently in but in the room I am currently in. 🙂

@SreeCharan - oh ok , i thought he is in the room I am currently in so given 2 names , ok will try😀👍👍

@SwiftPushkar When I posted that message, you were also in that room.

@SreeCharan -😀OK

@Pandya Haha yeah, that surprised me too. I think if you actually tallied up all the Advaitins on the site, they'd surpass the number of Sri Vaishnavas, it's just that some Advaitins didn't participate in the poll. Like you, Tezz, the Destroyer, Swami Vishwananda, and Pradip Gangopadhyay would already make 5. And I doubt the last two people voted, so the count should be at 6.

3:28 PM
@Tezz Shaiva Siddhanta reasoning is logical and good. But i want to know how they interpret Advaitic sounding statements.
@KeshavSrinivasan Moonstar also.

@TheDestroyer Oh yeah, how could I forget her.

@TheDestroyer Advaitic related statements automatically become Arthavada due to reasoning of Pramana Prameya concept...

@RohitSinghRathore Haha

@KeshavSrinivasan They might have thought this poll is of no use, since they believe initiation must be done. But even they might felt, these sects are of no use.

@TheDestroyer The reasoning is as:
" If it be said that there is scriptural testimony to validate this view, then, is that scripture the self or different from the self? If it is different from the self, then it is non-existent and therefore it cannot be a pramana. If it be one with the self, then there is the inconsistency of one and the same thing serving as pramana(which proves) and prameya(which is proved)."

3:35 PM
@TheDestroyer I can try to answer that, but it depends on what kind of Shaiva Siddhantins you're talking about. The Shaiva Siddhanta sect is basically divided into three parts. There's the small group that Srikantha Sivacharya and Appaya Dikshitar were a part of, who accept the Vedanta school. Then there are the traditional Shaiva Siddhantins who reject the Vedanta school. And then there's the Saiva Siddhanta Church, which I discuss here:
6
Q: What commentary on the Brahma Sutras does the Saiva Siddhanta Church support?

Keshav SrinivasanThe term "Shaivite" is overused nowadays. For instance, Iyer Brahmins are often called Shaivites, but they're actually followers of Adi Shankaracharya's Smartha sect (which I discuss here and here) and simply adopt Shiva as their Ishta Devata. True philosophical Shaivism is relatively rare nowa...

4:00 PM
@Tezz But who can verify whether Scripture is different from self? Only realized can feel everything as self.
@KeshavSrinivasan What do Vedantin followers of Shaiva Siddhanta say on Advaita sounding statements of scriptures? For example, on Atman same as Brahman.

@TheDestroyer the thing is Advaita considers everything as self....and it gives scripture as pramana... but as scripture is also self it can't be pramana for everything is self... because proving same thing by same thing is inconsistent...

@Tezz But the same Scripture which is considered as self also has non dualistic statements.

@TheDestroyer I think it is just considered Arthavada...but I'm not sure of it...

@Tezz ok.

@TheDestroyer "But the same Scripture which is considered as self also has non dualistic statements." Yeah... reasoning is given for this logic... ie. If you say world is non dual because scripture says so... then Scripture can't be Pramana for that... because Scripture is not also different... so it can't serve as Pramana...

4:08 PM
@TheDestroyer They interpret Advaita-sounding statements in essentially the same way that Ramanujacharya interprets them, namely through the Antaryami.

@KeshavSrinivasan ohh.. Shaiva Siddhanta says Shiva is Antaryami all Gods??

@TheDestroyer Srikantha Sivacharya's philosophy of Shivadvaita is very close to Ramanujacharya's philosophy of Visistadvaita, except with Vishnu replaced by Shiva.
@TheDestroyer Yeah

@KeshavSrinivasan Is ShivaAdvaita same as Shaiva Siddhanta?

@TheDestroyer Shivadvaita is the name of the Vedantic philosophy subscribed to by those Shaiva Siddhantins who subscribe to the Vedanta school.

@Tezz This looks like ,they are just accepting Advaitic statements of scriptures and rejecting non Advaitic statements.

4:13 PM
@TheDestroyer But most Shaiva Siddhantins don't believe in Shivadvaita, because they reject the Vedanta school.

@Tezz But they are using same logic to accept Advaita statements.

@TheDestroyer No, they aren't accepting Advaitic statements... they think that Scripture can't be pramana to say that 'Everything is this self'... Even if everything is self in reality also then also scripture statement can't be pramana...because the scripture is also not different from self... again same thing comes... proving same thing by same thing....

@TheDestroyer Shivadvaita says that Brahman is both the efficient cause and the material cause of the Universe, whereas most Shaiva Siddhantins believe that he's only the efficient cause.

@KeshavSrinivasan i don't think Shaiva Siddhantins believe he is only efficient cause. Rakesh said Shaiva Agamas say Brahman is both efficient and material cause.

@Tezz Souls were already present. I think that's why Shaiva Siddhanta is dualistic.

4:19 PM
@RohitSinghRathore This reasoning makes it dualistic. Till now, among all philosophies i know, only Shaiva Siddhanta gives reason for creation.

@TheDestroyer Shaiva Siddhantins and Kashmiri Shaivites have very different beliefs. Shaiva Siddhantins are dualistic, whereas Kashmiri Shaivites are monistic. If you want to see the dualistic beliefs of Shaiva Siddhantins, you can read Meykandar'a Shivajnana Bodham and the other works listed in my answer here:
8
A: Which texts have you read?

Keshav SrinivasanNote: I don't generally read Hindu scriptures and works linearly from beginning to end. So here is a list of some of the texts I've read, in whole or in part: Samhitas of the Vedas: Rig Veda Samhita Taittiriya Samhita of the Yajur Veda Vajasaneyi Samhita of the Yajur Veda Sama Veda Samhita At...

@KeshavSrinivasan But Shaiva Agamas are same for both. Their philosophies are interpretations of Agamas.

@RohitSinghRathore three fundamental padarthas... Tripadarthas... Pati Pashu and Pasha are existing from beginning...

@TheDestroyer Some arguments represented in mrigendea agama can't be easily refuted. Btw, I think Mrigendra agama was non dual text, SS has made it dual.

@RohitSinghRathore haha.
No problem. You can interpret and make it non dual, :P

4:23 PM
@Tezz @TheDestroyer I think According to SS, for liberated soul only Shiva exists, I.e there is no creation after liberation. Same as AV, only Brahman exists after enlightenment.

@TheDestroyer haha... generating anything by any intrepretation is common in eastern philosophies... 😀😀😀

@Tezz "Interpretation" is rocking in Indian Philosophies. Haha.

@TheDestroyer haha...

Haha yes @TheDestroyer thanks to K Shaiva Acharyas, they have already made many scripturescript non dual. :P
Scriptures*

@RohitSinghRathore @TheDestroyer there are so many scriptures that one is confused just by looking scriptures also... 😀😀😀

4:28 PM
@Tezz Interpretations of "intepretations". Lol.

@TheDestroyer and further sub-interpretations... 😀😀

Haha. @Tezz even after losing so much.

@RohitSinghRathore haha yeah...
@RohitSinghRathore @TheDestroyer anyway I finally reach to conclusion that Grace is all that is needed...

In Mrigendra, Mahakal abode is not described as Kailash, but a separate loka.
Read about grace.

@RohitSinghRathore Even as per Shiva Purana, there are two Kailasas. One in Cosmic plane and other on Earth. On earth, we have Shankara who is destructive aspect of Sada Shiva.

@RohitSinghRathore Yes, I have read that ... but Grace doesn't necessarily mean Shaktipata...

So far I've read in KS, grace = Saktipata.
@Tezz
@TheDestroyer But Mrigendra says Nandi actually lives in that Shiv lok.

@RohitSinghRathore grace can be through just blessing also... killing also...

That grace which you're talking about is manda Saktipata I think. In, KS Anugrah & Saktipata are synonymous. At least I've read such so far.

@RohitSinghRathore for eg. Shiva sometimes graces in psycopathic way 😀😀😀😀... Eg. There was a hunter who used to pronounce 'Aahara' meaning food to denote hunted food.... after death he was given Shiva Loka liberation because 'Hara' name of Shiva comes in that word 'Aahara'... Shivas way are wonderful...

4:38 PM
Haha. @TheDestroyer 😂 I've read many such stories.

@RohitSinghRathore and also one thief rode in the Linga to steal bell of that temple... and Shiva considered it greatest offering of himself... 😀😀

@Tezz Yes. Skanda Purana says the same story.
@RohitSinghRathore what stories?

@TheDestroyer Yeah... I also read it in Skandha Purana..

@Tezz yeah, read it. I think Shiva believes in success of an event, however it is accomplished he doesn't care. 😂
Like it is said - Yogarothova Bhogarothova... Either through yoga or bhoga, find the truth.

@Tezz I think in that case, his pervious lives are more virtuous and he was already destined to get Moksha in that life.

4:43 PM
@RohitSinghRathore haha maybe...
@TheDestroyer yeah... that should be the case as per law of Karma...

@RohitSinghRathore Actually, one way to get Viragya is by excessive Bhoga. Yogi Vemana got it by that.
Gona Vema Buddha Reddy , popularly known as Vemana (Telugu: వేమన) was a great Telugu philosopher and poet. His poems were written in Telugu, and are known for their use of simple language and native idioms. His poems discuss the subjects of Yoga, wisdom and morality. He is popularly called Yogi Vemana, in recognition of his success in the path of Yoga. == Early life and background == There is no consensus among scholars about the period in which Vemana lived. C.P. Brown, known for his research on Vemana, estimates his year of birth to be 1652 based on some of his verses. Various sources say he...

@TheDestroyer no no. Bhoga if consciously done leads to vairagya. Not otherwise.

@TheDestroyer oh... where is story about Yogi Vemana?...

@RohitSinghRathore does Abhinavgupta focuses on Kundalini awakening on his works?...

4:54 PM
I think very less info is know about him. I will say as per Telugu movie Yogi Vemana, He was born rich as Reddy (Kshatriyas). He used to spend so much time with prostitutes. He gives golden necklace to a prostitute and due to drought his brother (Jamindar) can't pay taxes to Vassal kingdoms and Vema Reddy (Vemana) goes to prostitute to collect the necklace. But she doesn't give. He will know they need just money and also he loses his brother's daughter.
