@ChinmaySarupria Hello! your chat profile's parent user refers to StackOverflow. You can change it to Hinduism.SE

@Pandya lol
@Pandya hmmm
@Pandya I hope you don't ask this to me ;)

1 hour later…
11:55 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan @Tezz According to Bhavishya Purana, Ramanujacharya is Shiva. lol
Bhagavan Bhavas Amsa was incarnated in the form of Ramanujacharya as the son of Acharya Sharma on the banks of the holy River Godavari and established Dwaita Discipline of Vedic Religion emphasising that Jeevatma was entirely distinct from Paramatma and established a new Philosophy as different from Shankaracharyas Advaita Philosophy that Jeevatma and Paramatma were one and the same, as the ephemeral human body ceased Jeevatma would merge with that of Paramatma.

@TheDestroyer hahaha... it's interesting...
@TheDestroyer do you know which chapter of Bhavisya Purana contains this...?

@Tezz Also, Rama incarnated in 28th Treta
@Tezz see the link
@Tezz More interesting is names of kings who ruled India. Humayan was Bali's son. This is interesting

@TheDestroyer oh ok... so Rama was both in 24th and 28th Treta...? Ie. There were two Ramas...?
@TheDestroyer hmmm...

@Tezz haha.. no one Rama only. Hanuma helped that Rama.
@Tezz Dahali is delhi but they could use Indraprastha

3 hours later…
3:07 PM
@AnkitSharma @Pandya What does this parent user thing means? And what is the benefit of changing it?

3:18 PM
@TheDestroyer @Tezz That's strange. But I think it's an interpolation. None of the details are right: Ramanujacharya was not an incarnation of Shiva, his father was not named Acharya Sharma, he was not born on the banks of the Godavari river, his philosophy was not called Dvaita, and he didn't establish a new philosophy. Visistadvaita was established by Nathamuni.
@ChinmaySarupria It just refers to what Stackexchange site your chat account is associated with.

@KeshavSrinivasan Yeah. Also, Sanskrit names of Medival Muslim Kings are strange, bit interesting. But this is true partially as Adisesha and Rudra have some resemblance (not sure though from Vaishnava perspective).

@TheDestroyer Yes, from a Vaishnava perspective Adiseshan is the being who dwells in the heart of Shiva, as I discuss here:
11
A: Is there any scripture that tells story about Lord Vishnu and MahaVishnu?

Keshav SrinivasanFirst of all, yes, there is a notion of a greater Vishnu and a lesser Vishnu. This concept is expressed in simplest terms in this chapter of the Vishnu Purana: Affecting then the quality of activity, Hari, the lord of all, himself becoming Brahmá, engaged in the creation of the universe. Vis...

@TheDestroyer Vishnu's Vyuha form Sankarshana, from whom Adiseshan emerges, is the one ultimately responsible for the destruction of the Universe from a Vaishnava perspective.
@TheDestroyer So that might explain the incarnation of Shiva thing. But none of the other details given in that passage match Ramanujacharya.

3:36 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan It also contracdicts with Matysya Purana about Rama's Yuga. It says 28th treta.So, i think pure interpolation.

@TheDestroyer Yeah, the Bhavishya Purana is the most interpolated out of the 18 Mahapuranas, because people kept adding "retroactive prophecies" to it.

@KeshavSrinivasan tomorrow we may find some passages about Narendra Modi..haha..

@TheDestroyer Haha
@TheDestroyer Thankfully people stopped adding interpolations to it about 200 years ago.

@KeshavSrinivasan How does parent user even matters because I guess it's good for nothing?

@KeshavSrinivasan They actually did some interpolations to turn people to Hinduism. They made all good and Hindu Kings as Devas and bad Muslim kings as Daityas.

4:20 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan @TheDestroyer haha... as it says Ramanujacharya established Dvaita... so maybe he is some other Ramanujacharya... (whom we do not know now)...

@Tezz haha.. it says Adishankara is paramashiva and Ramanujacharya is also Shiva.
@Tezz I am tending to beleieve some portions of these chapters.

@TheDestroyer do you have original Sanskrit verses...?

@Tezz No.

@TheDestroyer I'm searching for Bhavisya Purana in Sanskrit... I can't download from Vedic reserve site...

@Tezz It says copyright texts

4:27 PM
@TheDestroyer yes...

@Tezz It is on Indianscriptures site. But not sure about prophecies.

@TheDestroyer I think it also contains prophecies of Queen Victoria...

@Tezz Yeah..
Be that as it may, Shri Rama of Ramayana after vanquishing Ravana made possible many of dead Vanara soldiers who fought valiantly to get back to life, the important ones being Vikata, Vrujil, Jaal, Burleen, Simhal, Jawa (Jaawa), Sumaatra (Sumatra), etc. He gave the boon to these Vanaras that quite a few Dwipas (Islands) far and near Lanka be occupied and that they would be Kings of these Islands and that Architect Jaalandhara would help construct and even their wives would be procured from among those Devakanyas liberated after Ravanas death. The Vanaras were delighted at the happening

@TheDestroyer hmmm... it's interesting...

@Tezz Check Bhavishya Purana from Indianscriptures site. I think that version doesn't have prophecies.

4:34 PM
One can't become 100% sure that this is Interpolated prophecy...
@TheDestroyer I think there are 3 4 versions of Bhavisya Purana...

@Tezz yeah.

@TheDestroyer are there any prophecies which are yet to happen...?

@Tezz read this
This chapter is yet to happen

@TheDestroyer oh... interesting! .. when will it happen...

@Tezz China became enemy of India. Don't know.

4:39 PM
@TheDestroyer how is Harikhanda China?...

@Tezz User "Hindu" has given some info about various versions of Bhavishya Purana.

Where?

@Tezz haha.Don't know. I think Bhagavatam mentions China as Cina.

Where does Bhagvatam mention China?...

kirāta-hūṇāndhra-pulinda-pulkaśā
ābhīra-śumbhā yavanāḥ khasādayaḥ
ye ’nye ca pāpā yad-apāśrayāśrayāḥ
śudhyanti tasmai prabhaviṣṇave namaḥ
Ohh..it doesn't have china
I think Mahabharatha

4:47 PM
@TheDestroyer the commentary there also says: " Jesus Christ and Muhammad, two powerful devotees of the Lord, have done tremendous service on behalf of the Lord on the surface of the globe."...

@Tezz prabhupada says Krishna sent Muslims to cut "sacred threads" of hegemonic Brahmins.

@TheDestroyer oh... where did you read that?...

@Tezz I couldn't find exact page now. But read this

@TheDestroyer omg.... I didn't knew this... haha....

5:04 PM
@Tezz Here is Bhavishya Purana in Sanskrit with Hindi translation: vedpuran.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/bavishya-puran.pdf

@ChinmaySarupria - How you people celebrate diwali over Rajasthan , anything spicial. Like we prepare sweets etc. for diwali

@SwiftPushkar Tara is one of the Mahavidya ...
6
A: What are the Mahavidya deities?

TezzMahavidya are Shakti of Dash Avatara of Shiva. Most people are only aware about Dashavatara of Lord Vishnu. However Shiva Purana Shat Rudra Samhita also gives Dashavatara of Lord Shiva along with respective Shakti. And the respective Shaktis are called Mahavidyas: Shiva Purana Shat Rudra Samhita...

5:29 PM
@Tezz - oh ok , she is among "Panchakanya" पंचकन्या" so was just curious :) where is her story , in which purana , do you know?

@SwiftPushkar No.... Panchakanya Tara is wife of Vali (brother of Sugriva)...
Shakta Aagams would have detailed stories of Tara....

@Tezz - ok , are there two of them

As she is Tantric dwity...
@SwiftPushkar Godesses Tara is form of Parvati/Durga like Mahakali...
