@TheDestroyer actually I was reading Griha Sutras and Shrauta Sutras... then I have to search something... finally I ended in downloading Tirumantrim.... I directly scrolled to about half of pdf... there I found very mystical phrases... then I began to read from beginning... but I was unable to understand the 1st verse itself... hahaЁЯШАЁЯША
@TheDestroyer i didn't even knew that writer of Tirumantrim is Tirumular... he is among 63 Nayanars, 18 Siddhars etc... latter I read about his biography in shortcut...

@Tezz Your Tirumular question is interesting. Let me see if I can find an answer. By the way, I posted a question about Tirumular here:
3
Q: Did the Shavite poet Tirumular believe new souls could be created?

Keshav SrinivasanThe term "Shaivite" is overused nowadays. For instance, Iyer Brahmins are often called Shaivites, but they're actually followers of Adi Shankaracharya's Smartha sect (which I discuss here and here), and simply adopt Shiva as their Ishta Devata. True philosophical Shaivism is relatively rare nowad...

@Pandya Oh that's a nice Stotram. Do you know who composed it?

Btw, advaitasharada.sringeri.net you may not have visited yet. @Tezz @TheDestroyer

@Pandya wow that full stotra is very nice...
@KeshavSrinivasan I think that is just misintrepretation... because in Tirumantrim Tirumular clearly says.. 'Pashu are eternal'... as Pashu means soul.. which denotes soul is also eternal...

3:29 AM
@TheDestroyer - Namaskaram , Shubha dinam , Actually the question title was edited yesterday after my answer ,and i haven't noticed that ,anyway ,will try to give another answer ЁЯШК

3:43 AM
@Tezz Maybe eternal means "living forever into the future", not "having already lived forever".

@Pandya - yes ЁЯЩП

@Tezz By the way, if you really want to understand the details of Shaiva Siddhanta philosophy I suggest you read K. Sivaraman's book "Shaivism in Philosophical Perspective". archive.org/details/…

@KeshavSrinivasan - Nice question , is there similar concept in vaishnavism , like something higher than para vasudeva etc , just curious @Tezz - hmm nice find , grt.ansЁЯСНЁЯСНЁЯТР

@SwiftPushkar No, Sri Vaishnavas believe Para Vasudeva is the highest.

@KeshavSrinivasan - ok ЁЯШК

3:55 AM
@SwiftPushkar Although the user Parthasarathy Raghavan, who is a Sri Vaishnava, apparently believes that Narasimha is superior to Para Vasudeva. But I don't know if that's just an idiosyncratic belief or if there's a sizable population of Sri Vaishnavas who believe that Narasimha is supreme. I've certainly never met any Sri Vaishnavas who consider Narasimha supreme.
@SwiftPushkar However I have heard some Sri Vaishnavas make the claim that Narasimha is the greatest incarnation of Vishnu. That's because Rama took two years to rescue Sita, Krishna took 8 and a half years or whatever to rescue his parents, but Narasimha rescued Prahlada immediately when he needed him.

@KeshavSrinivasan oh.. it's 138 mb... I can't download it now... I'll download latter..
@SwiftPushkar Thank you!... ЁЯШАЁЯШАЁЯША

@KeshavSrinivasan -Ohh , ok , I wasn't knowing this thing ЁЯСНЁЯСН here i know some families whoes family deity is Narasihma , and it's believed that very strict upasna is needed in case of Narasihma as he ia very fierce deity.But i didn't knew that they believe Narasihma is supreme ЁЯШК

@Tezz OK, here it is in a smaller file size: gdurl.com/l7xP/download
@Tezz Tell me if it's still too big.

@KeshavSrinivasan Oh ok.. Thank You... it's fine size now...

@TheDestroyer did you watch Bahubali today?..

@Tezz Yeah.

@TheDestroyer I'm going to watch it today. How was it?

@TheDestroyer How did you find it?...

4:10 PM
@Tezz find what?
@KeshavSrinivasan Good. Story was normal. But Rajamouli's direction and narration was good. Also, VFX.

@TheDestroyer I mean how was Bahubali... haha..

@TheDestroyer Was it better than the first one?
@TheDestroyer The first one was the first Indian movie I've seen which had Hollywood-level production values.

@KeshavSrinivasan According to me, not so great when compared to first one. But worth watch for VFX and production values.

@TheDestroyer Does it have religious content like the Shivalingam scene in the first movie? That was my favorite scene in the movie.

@KeshavSrinivasan Yes. It does have many scenes. First scene itself is about Religious ritual. You can see tall Ganesha. There's song on Krishna and Climax there was Shiva Linga and Shiva (Mahendra Bahubali) besmears his body with Bhasma/ Vibhudi.
@KeshavSrinivasan Did you watch trailer?

4:17 PM
@TheDestroyer Yeah, I did. It looked good.

@KeshavSrinivasan @TheDestroyer Shiva Tandava stotra short is also played in last....
Around... Jata kataaa hasambhrama...

@Tezz Yeah. When he touches Sphatika Shiva Linga.

@TheDestroyer Yeah...

@Tezz Btw, Keeravani (Music Director) wrote a song on Rajamouli. Keeravani is cousin brother of Rajamouli.

@TheDestroyer haha... in which language... ?..

4:22 PM
@Tezz He replaced Shiva Tandava Song telugu lyrics and compared Nandi with Rajamouli.

@TheDestroyer but there is no Nandi in Shiva Tandava Stotram...

@Tezz Telugu lyrics has Nandi. It says "who lifted thee, is he Nandi? It seems Shiva's Wish , Linga is walking towards Ganga (on Nandi))"
He compared Prabhas with Nandi.

@TheDestroyer Oh ok...

@Tezz So, Keeravani replaces Prabhas with Rajamouli. And say "who directed Baahubali? WHo is this Nandi? With Shiva's blessings, all his movies were blockbusters".. He modified the lyrics..
See that video.

@TheDestroyer Oh ok... I just watched that video... but do not understand the language... haha...

4:30 PM
@Tezz Yeah. It is in telugu. It was during Audio release event in Hyderabad. Rajamouli's ista Deva is Shiva.
@KeshavSrinivasan @Tezz His next project is Mahabharata with 1000 cr budget.

@TheDestroyer Oh Ok...
@TheDestroyer Is Aamir Khan playing in that... ?...
@TheDestroyer movie or series... ?

@Tezz Don't know. But North actors can't dedicate their time. It may take more than 5 years lol.
Prabhas invested 5 years for Baahubali movie. Who can do that?
@Tezz I hope he shouldn't act in Mahabharata. He insulted Lord Shiva and Hindu Gods in Pk movie.
@Tezz 2-part movie.

@TheDestroyer Yeah... he shouldn't play...

@Tezz I think Rajamouli chooses Telugu actor as Sri Krishna. Amir Khan at any cost shouldn't act as Sri Krishna. It's insult to Krishna.

@TheDestroyer how will he finish Mahabharata in just 2 movies...?
@TheDestroyer Yeah... he can act as Duryodhana though... ЁЯШАЁЯША

4:38 PM
@Tezz NTR's grandson jr.Ntr is good, as his grandfather was known for potrayal of Krishna, but jr NTR may not be suitable as he is not tall. But i'm not sure, whom Rajamouli chooses as Krishna.
@Tezz i'm not sure how many parts the movie comprises.

@TheDestroyer is he who played as Krishna in Ramananda Krishna series?..

@TheDestroyer sv will certainly have objections with the MB movie. BORI factor.

@Rickross haha lol...

@Tezz Yeah. Haha.

@Tezz NO Shikhandi. Duryodhana is afterall Viryavana ( Valorous, Virile)

4:41 PM
@Rickross Sv actually became atheist after reading Mahabharata. Quite shocking.

@TheDestroyer OHk haha.

@Rickross also Iravati effect... haha...

NTR has received three National Film Awards for co-producing Thodu Dongalu (1954) and Seetharama Kalyanam (1960) under National Art Theater, Madras, and directing Varakatnam (1970), NTR has received the erstwhile Rashtrapati Awards for his performance(s) in the films Raju Peda (1954), and Lava Kusa (1963). He garnered the Nandi Award for Best...
@Tezz

@Rickross actually he is not worth of playing any Mahabharata character who saw Krishna... haha...

4:42 PM
He is known for potraying Krishna in Telugu movies.

@TheDestroyer Yes i know him.

@TheDestroyer wow... he looks real...

@Tezz Haha.

@Tezz Yeah. My grandfather's generation wouldn't believe if real Krishna comes to them, unless he looked similar to NTR.

@TheDestroyer haha...

4:45 PM
@Tezz NTR became chief minister of Andhra Pradesh based on people thinking of him as Krishna/Vishnu.
@TheDestroyer I don't know why he limits himself to two parts. He should make the Mahabharata a trilogy or longer.

@KeshavSrinivasan haha. Not exactly for that. At his time, Corruption was rampant and state was underdeveloped. He was good orator. But he was one of best chief ministers of Andhra, though he had caste feeling.
@KeshavSrinivasan I don't know exactly, whether it is 2-part or not.

@KeshavSrinivasan wow!... interesting...!!!!!!!

@TheDestroyer I think a big part of the reason was people having a mental association between him and Krishna/Vishnu. At least that's what my Telugu family members tell me.

@KeshavSrinivasan Yeah. That's also a reason. Maybe that is what made people to vote him.
@KeshavSrinivasan In Andhra, rivalry is between two castes. Reddys and Kammas (chowdaries). he belonged to Kamma. Congress was/is full of Reddys. His party was first regional party to rule Andhra long time after independence.
@KeshavSrinivasan Did you watch PK movie?

@TheDestroyer haha lol... I too laughed when I saw that edit... haha...
@anuvaramban what is that...?

It starts in 1.5 hours approx @TheDestroyer
@Tezz SriRamanujAcharya's 1000th Birthday! :D

@anuvaramban Oh ok... Happy Sri Ramanujacharya Jayanti....

@anuvaramban ohh.. Adi Shankararya and Ramanujacharya were born in Vaishaka month and that too on successive days.

5:15 PM
@TheDestroyer He was born on Thiruvaadirai in Chithirai month. Vaishaka may be another term for the same month? I don't know @KeshavSrinivasan Please clarify

@anuvaramban I think Tamilnadu follows Solar calendar.

@TheDestroyer yeah, it is a Solar calendar but LuniSolar also followed for certain things.

@anuvaramban It says 10 hours 44 minutes, not 1.5 hours.

@KeshavSrinivasan That's because they haven't adjusted for GMT-10:30 for you.

5:21 PM
@anuvaramban As per lunar calendar, month is named after star which appears on Purnima. In this month, Star vishakha appears on full moon day, so it is named as Vaishaka masa.

@anuvaramban I don't understand, so are you saying that the website shows different times for the two of us, or are you saying it shows 10 hours 44 minutes for you also?

@KeshavSrinivasan It shows one hour 10 minutes now. So it is taking into account your system clock but assuming you are in India.
@TheDestroyer Interesting, so the LuniSolar calendar will oscillate w.r.t the solar calendar and vice versa.

@anuvaramban OK, so when will Ramnujacharya's 1000th birthday be for me in America?

@KeshavSrinivasan How are tamil months named?

@TheDestroyer Most of the months have some resemblance to their Sanskrit names.

5:28 PM
@KeshavSrinivasan When the ThiruVaadirai Star rises on the horizon for you. I'm not sure how you can calculate that with Panchangam done for your location but that's how it's done.

@KeshavSrinivasan but it's interesting they are also named after Nakshatras. But some names are different in tamil.

@anuvaramban It looks like it already started last night for me: drikpanchang.com/hindu-saints/ramanuja/…
