@ChinmayaB Jai Sreemannarayana. Already seen it. Also see alwargal vaibhavam from the same orator and same channel.
@ChinmayaB But in this Velukkudi Krishna does not explain anupapattis. He explains Vishishta advaita very well.

4:27 AM
Eventhough this is a duplicate, it has a better answer

@SreeCharan yes, it has better answer...

Good morning @Tezz
@Tezz YOu started asking questions again. 👍

@SreeCharan Good Morning...
@SreeCharan haha yes... fortunately both of my questions got answered...

@Tezz Yes. Keep them coming. Questions per day will increase.

@SreeCharan yes, I have other questions to ask also.. I will ask day by day...

4:39 AM
@Tezz Due to remembering Saxena smriti, our questions per day is still above 5. 😀

@SreeCharan haha lol...
@SreeCharan Saxena Smriti Smarana Phala... 😀

@Tezz LOL 😀😀😀

@SwiftPushkar Good Morning!...

@Tezz @SreeCharan - yes :) Good morning to you Both. How are you ?

Kaanha Good morning.
Please, this is not a forum on bollywood gossip, it is a religious forum. Please keep a civilized decorum in your writing and headline. — Swami Vishwananda 42 secs ago

4:53 AM
@SwiftPushkar I'm fine here and hope you are also fine there.. (I just got your letter yesterday).. 😀😀
@SreeCharan haha... Swamiji removed that link... Keshava again roll backed it... Swamiji again removed... let's see now what happens...

@SreeCharan haha yes ,like that you can cal be by that name also :)

@SwiftPushkar मी ठीक आहे|आभार | आपण कसे आहे ?

@SreeCharan मी पण ठीक आहे. आज इथे मत-मोजणी आहे. :) ( i am also fine , today is the election result day , मतमोजणी = vote counting
@Tezz haha i missed that :)

@SwiftPushkar Did you see fake fingers used to cheat in voting?

@Tezz - oh , i forgot what i have written in that , can you pls. read it for me ?
@SreeCharan No not much , only few places , but 1.1 million voters name's were absent in Mumbai , so they haven't voted. But Lots of money power got used.

5:05 AM
@SwiftPushkar you have written in the beginning that 'Although I'll tell in the chat room that I have forgotten the letter. But in reality I can't forgot this letter."...

@SwiftPushkar It is a fake news. Some one started to spread rumours about this. EC did not confirm this. Someone used a pic from Japan and tried to relate it to MH and UP polls.

@Tezz I think Swami Vishwananda is objecting more to the words than the link, so I may add the link back with different words.
@SwiftPushkar What election result is happening today?

@SreeCharan Yes , might be , but same case was there in Lok Sabha elections in pune. Thousands of names were missing.

@KeshavSrinivasan Looks like a edit war. :P

@KeshavSrinivasan haha... yes it seems like that...

5:11 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan Local Muncipal corporation elections , in maharashtra , 10 corporations , including MUMBAI & Pune.

@SwiftPushkar I was talking about fake fingers. Yes. many names were missing from the list. It happens here too.

@SwiftPushkar Is corporation what you call "city" in India?
@SwiftPushkar In America the word corporation has a different meaning, it means a private company.

@Keshav Governing body of a city is called Municipal corporation. Private companies are called corporation here too.

@KeshavSrinivasan No , corporation word is only used ,the actual word is Muncipal corporation and yes its somewhat iindependent , but not private , as private corporation. So for convinieance people just say corporation.

@SreeCharan @SwiftPushkar Oh ok, in America a city is run by a City Council, which is led by the Mayor.

5:17 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan - ok , I think the administration system is same here & in US :) only we call it by different names

@SwiftPushkar Oh ok. But at the national level the system of government is completely different in America and India. Like you have a parliamentary system where the parliament chooses the Prime Minister. But in America the Congress and the President are chosen by the people in completely different ways.

@KeshavSrinivasan yes , we know that :)

@KeshavSrinivasan This question got edited.

Q: Number of Jivatmas according to Vishishtadvaita

PandyaAccording to Advaita, the individual self (Atman) is nothing but Brahman (only one). But due to avidya/maya there are many individual selves (Atmas) appearing. Now, According to Vishsishtadvaita, individual selves (Jivatmas) are different from each other and actually not the Brahman (only one). ...

IS this Pandya's first post?

5:32 AM
How it is even Advait when there is distinction between Brahm & Jeevatma
?

@SwiftPushka By the way, in America we generally hold the federal, state, and local elections on the same day, otherwise almost no one would be interested in voting for city council.

And even at the beginning there was only one entity. Where these Atmas were if they are separate from Brahm? What I am able to infer here is, these are roles, not armas. As light through prism is diffracted into 7 colors, here brahm through Maya diffracted into many colors.If we think about these colors born out out of Brahma then these colors are no separate from Brahm itself, only thrugh maya Brahma seems composed of varied colors(Jeevatmas). Correct me if I am wrong.

@SreeCharan @Tezz Saxena Smriti is best smriti for Stack Exchange (HSE)! 😀

@TheDestroyer Yes. haha

And subset of Infinite set is uncountably finite. If there are such Jivatmas, they must be obviously uncountable infinite. :P :P

5:38 AM
@Seeker You mean vishishtadvaita?

infinite*
Yes @SreeCharan

Q: Differences between Advaita & Vishishtadvaita

PandyaAs we know that (and Keshav Srinivasan has written many times): The most popular school of Hindu philosophy is the Vedanta school And there are sub schools of Vedanta which are graphically shown here: Among them Advaita (अद्वैत) & Vishishtadvaita (विशिष्टाद्वैत) are the most popular scho...

@Seeker Did you see this?

I know only Kashimiri Advaita & Sankara advaita -_- Lemme see. @SreeCharan

@KeshavSrinivasan When writing constitution, India referred all democracies at that time. India's constitution is similar to UK.

Vishishtadvaita Philosophy: Visistadvaita, or Qualified Non-dualism, according to Ramanuja, accepts the ultimate Reality to be Brahman; but the individual souls and the universe (Matter) are also real, being parts of Brahman or modes of His manifestation. Brahman, with the universe and the individual souls, constitutes the whole of Reality.

5:46 AM
@TheDestroyer haha just like many texts claim itself as 5th Veda... we claim Saxena Smriti as 19th Smriti... 😀😀

But Manifestation comes into play only due to Maya, Without Maya there is no Jeevatmas. So I am unable to see conflict. can someone tell me where is conflict?

@Seeker what do you mean by Stri tatwa.. where did you read it.. ?..

@KeshavSrinivasan It was like in India too. But Indira Gandhi brought this disconnection as Congress was declining and regional parties were becoming strong. To make her party strong, Indira Gandhi disconnected national and state elections.

@KeshavSrinivasan ohh ok , here some times both comes together but most of the time Municipal corporation elections date is fixed after expiration of 5 years

@Tezz Is Purusha has anything to do with Masculine attributes? I mean somehow? Sorry, I am still struggling to express my question clearly. -- --

5:51 AM
@Seeker No. Purusha in Vedas doesn't mean "man".

@TheDestroyer I am not saying it means man. I have read about Purusha. I am asking about in relation.

@Seeker Purusha is the Brahman... who is present as witness in every being...

@Tezz haha. But Saxena Smriti recommended scripture for HSE! (Approved by Swami Tejananda).

@TheDestroyer lol... in the question.. 'Which scripture have you read? ' we can write Saxena Smriti... 😀😀😀 @Pandya

then why Purusha is related with Masculinity
and Prakiriti with Femini
femininity
Purusha as seed and Prakriti is womb ?
I have seen this pattern everywhere

5:55 AM
@Seeker It's because of Analogous comparison... just as Man puts seed in Female... and then Female creates (child)...

@Seeker BTW you can edit your message.

@Tezz @Pandya @SreeCharan Sarva Sastranam Srestham Saxena Smriti.. 😀

I can't edit. @Tezz

@TheDestroyer lol

@Seeker thats why the Mahabharat says 'yallingankam Trayambaka sarvamisha Bhaglingankam Yad Uma sarva Dhatri... Nanyam kinchin Tritiya jaganNasti Mahadevan Sarvasarveshorosau.."

5:57 AM
@Tezz Means?

@Seeker you can't edit question?.. regresh the page...
@Seeker "all those bearing the symbol of Linga (male) are the form of three eyed Lord... all those bearing symbol of Bhaga (female) are form of Uma... A third doesn't exist in the world and Mahadeva is the Lord of the Lords."

@Tezz Still can't edit. No option for me to edit the message.

@Seeker you can't edit after 2 minutes . ...

@Seeker You can edit message within 2 minutes

6:00 AM
if you are PC just press upward arrow button. @Seeker

@Tezz But DOn't you think Prakriti seems Feminine, $ Purusha Masculine? :/

lol what is Saxena Smriti : :) :)

oh Got it.

@Seeker yes it seems... but the consciousness/ Brahman seen in females is also Purusha...

@Tezz >5 Questions/Day may be mentioned in Saxena Smriti! Hehe
Feb 12 at 6:38, by Tezz
@Pandya I think it was during the period of Amit Saxena

Yes @Tezz

6:06 AM
@Tezz haha ok , got that .....lol

Quiz: Who first coined the term Saxena Smriti?..

@Tezz Ans: Deep Pandya. LOL

@Tezz - pandya

@SwiftPushkar @SreeCharan In the Hinduism SE it's answer can be different also like:
"Whatever anyone speaks/writes is something already uttered/written by Vyasa."
4
Q: What's the meaning and origin of the phrase 'Vyasocchishtam jagat sarvam'?

sv.What's the origin of the phrase Vyasocchishtam jagat sarvam? I've heard different meanings of the phrase some of which are: There is nothing under the Sun that Vyasa has not touched upon. Whatever anyone speaks/writes is something already uttered/written by Vyasa

So, Saxena Smriti is also written by Vyasa.. haha...😀😀

@Tezz - who first coined the term "Tezz ShasraNaam "? 1) Bhagvan 2) Tezz 3) Pandya 4) shreecharan 5) The destroyer
n to all

6:12 AM
@SwiftPushkar 1

@Tezz - lol .. no no . try again :)

@SwiftPushkar 2

@TheDestroyer yeah , congratulations . right answer , APP ne 1 core ka ienam jeeta hai , aap ka paisa bhagvan se leke jaeyega.

@SwiftPushkar I'm just the instrument.. It is Bhagvan who told it through me...😀😀

@Tezz yeah , we all :)

Śrī Uddhava inquired: Although nature and the living entity are constitutionally distinct, O Lord Kṛṣṇa, there appears to be no difference between them, because they are found residing within one another. Thus the soul appears to be within nature and nature within the soul.
@Tezz @TheDestroyer - i think , shaiva people hold diff. opinion , is it right ?

6:18 AM
@SwiftPushkar different opinion means?..

@Tezz on this "material nature and its enjoyer are clearly distinct." cause Shiva and Shakti are not distinct ..
I will be back in some time ....

@SwiftPushkar Shiva represents the Purusha of all... and Shakti represents Prakirti.... but the consciousness present in Shakti is also Purusha.. and the matter present in Shiva is Shakti/Prakirti...

In kashimiri shaivism, Purusha Tattva & Prakriti Tattva are described entirely different than other systems And it seems very acceptable.

@Tezz ok , but what i want to know is - "is there any difference between views on above verse btw. Shaiva and Vaishnava sects.
प्रकृति: पुरुषच्श्रेति विकल्प: पुरुषर्षभ |

@Tezz Shiva is Prakash & Prakriti is Vimarsaya, Purusha & Prakriti are many. Kashmiri SHaivism says so

6:25 AM
@SwiftPushkar As per Shiva purana, Shiva Shakti are inseparable.

@Tezz Shiva is Prakash & Shaktii is Vimarsaya, Purusha & Prakriti are many. Kashmiri SHaivism says so

@SwiftPushkar I think there is not difference in that verse...
@Seeker what is Vimarsaya ?..

Trika says when Prakash Vimarsaya (Ultimate reality) polarizes into 'I' & 'This', Under Maya 'I' becomes Purusha & 'This' becomes prakriti, And each individual anu has its own prakriti , not a universal one prakriti unlike Samkhya
@Tezz Vimarsaya is Shakti. & Prash is Shiv. Prakashvimarsaya is ultimate reality in Trika.

@Seeker oh ok... I didn't know this... btw what is Trika.. ?...

@Tezz Trika philosophy is non dual philosophy of Kashmiri Shavism.

6:30 AM
@Seeker Oh ok... have you read AbhinavGuptas Tantraloka... ?..

@Tezz Not yet. But I have read his commentary on BG in light of Kashmiri Shaivism, very impressive
and have more shloks than other Geetas

@Seeker I think it contains 14 slokas more than other Geetas... isn't it?..

Yes @Tezz You also have read?

@Seeker I haven't read it upto now...

@Seeker Before advent of Islam, kashimir Shaivism and Shaiva Siddhanta were most followed in North and South across India. You can observe, most of the Indian Kings were Shiva Devotee and War cry of most Ancient Indian kings was "Hara Hara Mahadeva"..

6:35 AM
@Seeker you belong to Kashmiri Shaivism.. or you are only interested in Kashmiri Shaivism.. ?...

@TheDestroyer Still, Mahadeva didn't help. In one of the case some ardent devotees of Shiva when attacked by Muslims. As they were physically weak they started to pray Mahadeva, nothing happened. Similar case happened when Women started to pray to Krishna when they were going to molested by Muslims, but nothing helped. In Kalyuga, we can't be dependent on GOd. We have to become independent completely. surrender wont work. :(
@Tezz Yes I read Upanishads & Trika philosophies books. Don't have Guru yet.

@Seeker Oh ok... you should plan to read Tantra Loka... but it is a very large book...

@Seeker haha. No it's leela of Mahadeva to send Muslims. Don't just see one side of coin. See from other side too. Analyze how were we? Were we following Dharma? We weren't united at that time. We were fighting.

@TheDestroyer But hindus are Adharmic now. I don;t find Vedic culture. We shouldn't assume everything as Leela. :(
@Tezz Yes, I have plan to read a lot of books but struggling for material success as well. ;)

6:41 AM
@Seeker Oh ok... Go on... all the best...

@Seeker Kali Yuga is nothing but collective manifestation of all our Bad Karma. without cause, there is no effect.
That is law of Karma. We should blame God. Invasions are results of our past Karma of our ancestors.
Now, converted Muslims in Kashmir, Pakistan and Afghanistan are facing problems from terrorism. May be they were rebirths of invaders. It's all Karma.

Yes @TheDestroyer When we take all reasons into account, we are left with neutrality. Aryans also oppressed Mlechas in the past.

@Seeker When?
Who?

THough didn't oppress as they did. Read some stories of Mahabharata etc
What is your system ? who is your guru ? @TheDestroyer

@Seeker There's a saying in Telugu. "Without will of Shiva, even an ant won't bite". So, how could without will of Shiva, Somnath and Kasi temples were destroyed?

6:47 AM
Yes Right @TheDestroyer

@KeshavSrinivasan since you were interested in 12 verses of Shiva Jnana Bodham... I found translation of them here: shaivam.org/scripture/English-Articles/1389/…

@Seeker Vikramaditya conquered "Aravastan, land of horses". It could be Arabia . Some records say, Vikramaditya established Vedic religion there before Islam. More research is needed is needed on this to know exact facts.
@Seeker I don't follow any particular Philosophy. My views are close to Advaita. I have no Guru.
@Seeker But i think as they didn't have Sastras for idol worship (inviting Prana into it) (Pagans), I think Islam and Christianity prohibited idol worship.

@TheDestroyer Oh, same here. what is the age here of all present here? I need to know so as I can put Sir before who is elder to me. :P :P :P

@TheDestroyer Christianity did not prohibit idol worship.
@Seeker AFAIK There is no need to put sir. All are in same age group.
Younger and older by 2-3 years.

@Seeker I'm 23. @Tezz is 19 i think. Keshav is 25. Sreecharan 21 i think.

6:53 AM
But there were Three Moortis at Mecca preceding Islam. A moorti of father mother and her daughter along with minor moortis.
what might be that?>

@SreeCharan Then why Christians mock Idol worship?

@Tezz is 19. Great (Y)

@TheDestroyer Tezz is 19? I thought he is 23 or something.

@Seeker how old are you?..

Yes @SreeCharan

6:54 AM
@SreeCharan No, I'm 19...

I am 22 @Tezz

@Seeker Ok Sir...

@Tezz WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Out of my mind.

hahaha

@Seeker PN Oak describes that Allah is "mother" or Durga. It was one of the statues there.

6:55 AM
Yes, he kept Lord Shiva if going through that theory
but who was the daughter?
as you have said Ashoka SUndari is interpolation

@TheDestroyer I have seen many christ idols in churches and chapels. They mock polytheism.

@Seeker I think more research is needed . i neither accept it completely nor reject it completely.

@SreeCharan haha... what is out of your mind... ?..

@SreeCharan I was brainwashed by a Church in the childhood. THey nearly converted me. -_-

@Seeker Need not be interpolation.

6:58 AM
@Seeker haha lol...

@Tezz I didn't expect you to be 19. By looking at your original DP, I thought your were 20+. It's unbelievable.

@SreeCharan what is DP?..

@Tezz Display pic. Profile picture. In SE it is Avatar.

@SreeCharan Tezz eats Annamaya Kosha of goats and chicken. So, he looks well built.

Yes @TheDestroyer need not be. It is being said the black stone is nothing but the stone of that father moorti there.

6:59 AM
:P

@SreeCharan Oh ok...
@TheDestroyer haha lol...

@Seeker Ohh..you were talking about Mecca?

Yes @TheDestroyer

@Seeker Did you read any books of PN Oak?

Not Yet. But read Random things from the internet. @TheDestroyer k

7:01 AM
@Seeker PN Oak says it's Shiva linga established by Vikramaditya.
@Seeker he cites a poem written by Arabic poet of Pre Islam times, which says "when we were engrossed in materialism you (Vikramaditya) came here with spiritual knowledge.....". He says the poem can be found in Turkey Library.

@TheDestroyer in the internet we find a poem composed by Mohammeds Uncle in praise of Mahadeva... Is it authentic?...

@TheDestroyer We don't have references of Vikramaditya much. But what I could read from limited sources is he was Damn legendary. Last king who went to Heaven alive. he could enter into other's body like Sankara.
@TheDestroyer Yes read that.

@Seeker Yeah. unfortunately, we know Vikram and Bhetala Story. haha.

@Tezz It doesn'e seem authentic. You know there are Allah Upanishads as well. :P

@Seeker He is one of the saka purushas. An era was named after him.

7:06 AM
@Tezz I think PN Oak didn't mention poem of his uncle.

@Seeker haha Allahopanishad is fake Upanishad...

Allah Upanishad, or Allopanishad, is a book of dubious origin supposedly from Atharvaveda and believed to be written during Mughal Emperor Akbar's reign. Swami Dayananda Saraswati's book Satyarth Prakash (The Light of Truth) argues that the Allopanishad is not part of the Upanishad canon. It does not even appear in the Atharvaveda. The book could have been written during the Mughal era (possibly during Akbar's reign). The Upanishad describes Akbar as a messenger or prophet of God. == Views on authorship and authenticity == In an issue of The Theosophist, R. Ananthakrishna Sastri wrote that the...

@Seeker Lol. Allah Upanishad. Vyasa must be laughing.

@TheDestroyer Yes , haha

7:08 AM
@Seeker Some say it was a title given to a king. THere are more than one vikramarkas.

@SreeCharan Some also said he once went to different universe via Hanuman. -_- '

The Ezourvedam is a forgery "consisting of certain 'Vedic' materials translated by Jesuits with the intention of isolating elements most in harmony with Christianity." == History and authorship == A manuscript called Ezourvedam was given to Voltaire in 1760 by Louis-Laurent de Federbe, Chevalier de Maudave. The text was in French, and said to be a French translation of a Sanskrit original. Voltaire was enthusiastic about the work, had it copied, and brought it to the attention of others. It was first published in 1778 (Voltaire died that same year). The genuineness of the Ezourvedam was f...

Lol... see the quotations of Allaha Upanishad here: danielpipes.org/comments/147235

Oh. Adam and eves are described in BHavishya Puran (don;t know its authenticity) & Jesus was said as an Avatar of Dhruv.

"Hotermindra Hotermindra Mahashurindraiy:
Alla Jeyshthang Paramang Purnang Brhman Aullam
Aadalla Bukmekkam Alla Buk Nikhatkam Aulley Aullam."
Translation: The Supreme! The Most Exalted! The Most Powerful is HE. Alla is the best and the Greatest (or Highest). He is the Supreme, Complete and One without any Fault (Error etc.). He us Uncomparable. Alla is Comparable to Alla alone.

7:11 AM
@Tezz Kali Demon is working hard.

@TheDestroyer Yes...

@Tezz what language is that?

Yes, working hard.

@TheDestroyer Ardha Sanskrit Ardha Arabic...

Lol

7:14 AM
@TheDestroyer it is saying: 'Allaha Jestham Parama Purna Brahman.'

@Tezz haha. but we can understand it as mother or Shakti.

@TheDestroyer yes if we place Allaha as attribute of Brahman (the Supreme one without second) then it is perfectly fine...

@Tezz Will you answer trishul question or shall i answer?
3
Q: What happens to Lord Shiva's trishul during dissolution of universe?

SeekerI've read Kashi is absorbed into trishul at the time of Dissolution. But Trishul too has to be absorbed. Can anyone give references about the Trishul? As it has to be absorbed, So Kashi ultimately absorbed into Brahm? Please take into account both subtle & gross meaning of Trishul.

@TheDestroyer Oh ok... answer it... from which chapter are you answering... ?..

@Tezz Do we need to prove Kashi is absorbed during Mahapralaya?

7:19 AM
Q:Who is the seer of the upanishad Alloupanishad and Anu adhara upanishad?

At the time of Great Dissolution when all the mobile and immobile objects of the world are dissolved everything gets enveloped in darkness, without the sun, planets and stars. There is no moon. The day and the night are not demarcated. There is no fire, no wind, no earth and no water. There is no unmanifest primordial being. The whole firmament is one complete void, devoid of all Tejas elements. There is no Dharma or Adharma, no sound, no touch. Smell and colour are not manifest.
 There is no taste. The face of the quarters is not demarcated. Thus when there is pitch darkness that cannot be pierced with a needle and what is mentioned in the Vedas as “The Existent and the Brahman" is alone present. When the present visible world is not in existence, the Sat Brahman alone is present which Yogins observe per- petually in the inner Soul, the inner Firmament.

@Tezz Ok, Post it if you have prepared answer. i will answer other question. you got better reference.

@TheDestroyer yes,.. and after Mahapralya in the next creation it is again formed first... by the name of Aanandavana...
@TheDestroyer No, I haven't prepared... I'm just copying from Shiva Purana...
@TheDestroyer which question Shivamsha question... ?

@Tezz No.

Q: Vishnu's wives according to Brahma vaivartha purana

krsna_ramAfter the exchange of curses among the Goddesses - Lakshmi, Saraswathi & Ganga when they were wives of Lord Vishnu, will they get back to their original positions ? When ?

He should clarify it.

@TheDestroyer Oh ok... I'll answer it then... btw can you paste Shiva Purana Rudra Samhita chapter 6 Sanskrit verses here... I'm feeling lazy to type...

7:25 AM
@Tezz I will mail you text searchable files of Shiva and Linga purana. can you open .rtf files?
@Tezz I will append and send you.

@TheDestroyer I think I can't open rtf files...
@TheDestroyer let it go.. I'll post answer without Sanskrit verses... we can add Sanskrit verses latter...

@Tezz i will copy here.

@TheDestroyer Ok...

@TheDestroyer yes , i knew the same thing , but just again confirmed :)

@Tezz I mailed you sristi Khanda in docx format. you can open it in mobile.

7:32 AM
@TheDestroyer I don't have doc. reader... can you send it in pdf...

@Tezz Pdf files will have encoding problems. You can't copy devanagari with pdf.
@Tezz I will send Pdf also try it.
@Tezz Sent in pdf.
@SwiftPushkar what is this quote?
ॐ न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते ।

@TheDestroyer yes it doesn't work well.. I'll now download doc reader...

@TheDestroyer This is quote from Gita , The meaning of which is "there is no pure thing than knowledge in this world"

@SwiftPushkar ohh.. ok.
@Tezz ok. i will mail you, whole texts.
@Tezz Do you want them as individual texts (as Samhitas) or as whole?

7:40 AM
@SwiftPushkar Then OM is not needed. We should not put om and namah in every sanskrit statement.

@SwiftPushkar ok.

@TheDestroyer send as whole...

@Tezz ok.

8:02 AM
Is there a tag related to holy places?

1 hour later…
9:27 AM
@Seeker
Acharya Abhinava Gupta is NOT the author of geeta bhashya,. it could be written by someone else with his name. because his philosophy does not gel with vedanta.

Abinavgupta contradicts these assumptions by stating “how can it be unreal when it is manifested. This has to be given due consideration. An entity that appears clearly and creates the whole universe must be something real and substantial and should be described as such”. (Ishvarpritabijna 111-80)

@TheDestroyer haha lol... Mr. Shri Brahma

@Tezz haha.

I've sent you voice message @RakeshJoshi sir

10:20 AM
@SreeCharan wow... nice answer..

@Tezz Thanks.

@SreeCharan Did the same chapter descibe returning of Sword to Shiva?

@TheDestroyer I think returning of sword isn't mentioned in any chapter...

@Tezz Do you know curse of Durvasa which made Saraswati to born as ubhaya bharati?

@TheDestroyer I don't know...

10:34 AM
@Tezz How weapon used by Ravana is Chandrahasa?

@TheDestroyer when ? During Jatayu incident?..

@Tezz yes.

@TheDestroyer it's just guess.. as Ravana uses that sword as final weapon... And also no mention of that sword latter...

@Tezz ok.
@Tezz Shankara Digvijaya says Shiva used left leg to kick chest of Yama during Markandeya episode. The story passed down the same way without any modifications. Such as perfect oral tradition.

@TheDestroyer Oh... I think Some Purana most mention Shiva Markandeya story...
@TheDestroyer also see the cover image of Markandeya Purana used by kamakoti site... they also use the same story... kamakoti.org/kamakoti/details/markandeya%20purana%20home.html

10:49 AM
@Tezz ohh..But Markandeya purana doesn't mention this story.

@TheDestroyer yes, it doesn't mention...
Also there is ChandraSekhara Ashtakam.
. http://shivu360.blogspot.com/2009/04/chandrasekhara-ashtakam.html?m=1 @TheDestroyer

@Tezz Yes. I know.

He who reads this prayer, Composed by the son of Mrukandu, Who was fear struck with death, In the temple of Lord Shiva, Will not have fear of death, He would have full healthy life, With all grains and all wealth, And Lord Chandra Shekara, Would give Him, Salvation in the end.
@TheDestroyer I think the story was in the lost part of Shiva Purana...

@Tezz KEshava said no part of Shiva purana was lost.

@TheDestroyer Vyasa summarized Shiva Purana... but this doesn't mean that he summarized every story...
The story as narrated above comes to us from the Skanda Purana.

10:57 AM
@Tezz @TheDestroyer In whole Ramayana, including uttara kanda it is the only part where it is described that Ravana uses a sword. So this must be the sword chandrahasa.

@Tezz "(36-49) Meanwhile, the four great sages, Upamanyu, Dadhichi,
Gautama and Agastya, came to the house of this divine boy to
meet him." How could Dadichi come to Shankara?

@TheDestroyer haha from heaven?.. just as Dasharatha came to meet Rama?..

@Tezz Do Indra of every Manvantara get Vajra from bones of Dadhichi?
@Tezz Ohh. When did Dasharatha come to meet Rama?

@TheDestroyer I think Yes because that story is in Vedas: hinduism.stackexchange.com/questions/12006/…
@TheDestroyer Dasharatha meeting Rama is in this chapter: valmikiramayan.net/utf8/yuddha/sarga119/yuddha_119_frame.htm
"O Rama! Separated from you, the heaven is not a liking to me, nor the respect given to me by the foremost of celestials. I am telling you the truth."

@Tezz ok.

11:21 AM
@Tezz Namaste!
Let's assume there are finite Jeevas.. But since the Universe is from infinite time... There were infinite Brahmas... Moksha of Brahma is guranteed... it means there are infinite Jeevas who have attained Moksha... so if there was constant no. Of Jeevas then we wouldn't be here now... so there are Infinite Jeevas... — Tezz 2 hours ago

@Pandya there is no clear answer about what happened during the time of narration of geeta ? opponents waited for hours ?

@RakeshJoshi Hi! What are you talking about?

Bhagavat geeta sir @Pandya

ok
@RakeshJoshi So, you think Shankaracharya should had interpolated BS and BG right?

@Pandya further the story of Shuka meeting gaudapada is also little confusing . is shuka deva immortal ? how he met gaudapada in kali yuga ?

11:25 AM
@RakeshJoshi I don't know about Shukadeva

i went through an answer which said gaudapada was patanjalis disciple then he changed and got curse etc etc finally met shuka at badarika ashrama.

@RakeshJoshi Btw, I found you first who is claiming Acharya like Adi Shankara has interpolated Hindu Scriptures :P

@Pandya i have raised valid points too isnt it .
why would a jnani use a dead body to perform wrong deeds to a women (she was not aware of such acts) . this was not going to do any good to the queen @Pandya

@RakeshJoshi Are you talking about related to questions asked by wife of Mandan Mishra to Adi Shanaracharya?

i m talking about parakaya pravesha into kings body and doing intercourse with the queen @Pandya i have posted a long answer there as well.,

11:30 AM
@RakeshJoshi Btw, Mukhya Upanishads themselves use the word "Vedanta"

@Pandya Namaste!...
@Pandya did you understand that theory.. ?..

@Pandya vedas say that pranava is at the beginning and is at the end of vedas too.. in that sense pranava its fine.

@Tezz Yes. But I want to ask (According to Vishishtadvaita) if there are infinite no. of eternal Jivatmas completely different from Brahman then how to explain the concept of Moksha of souls as it never going to end since there are infinite Jivatmas!! /cc @KeshavSrinivasan

@Pandya
1) Moksha is eternal.
2) Universe is running from eternity.
3) Atman can't be created.

The above three things are Universal truth. But do you think can these three things be true simultaneously?...

@Tezz only theories like Ajatvada can satisfy them.

11:38 AM
@Pandya yes, exactly... that is why Advaita comes in play... the truth is there is not creation at all... neither there is Moksha.. actually...

@Tezz Yes, you're right but Here I'm trying to understand according to Vishishtadvaita because as per Advaita, it is easy to understand many things but Vishishtadvaita sounds difficult to understand for me!

@Pandya yes... if moksha is eternal and universe is running from eternity.. then if at least 1 being gets Moksha in one cycle of universe.. then there should be infinite no. of beings who had got liberation... we should have been liberated then...

@Tezz For example according to Advaita there are no infinite no. of souls (they are appearing due to maya only) so, it is easy to understand the concept of Moksha but if there are infinite no. of souls eternally exist separately from Brahman, then it will be difficult/confusing for Vishishtadvaita to explain the concept of Moksha.

@Pandya I don't know what Vishistadvaita tells about it...
@Pandya also imagine infinite Jeevas with body of form of Lord are surrounding one Lord....

@Tezz Also, changing things can't be true always. Only Unchanging things can be true. Changing things are true for certain times only. The theories keep on changing.

11:44 AM
@Tezz Yes, that's why I posted a question to confirm what Vishitadvaita say about no. of souls. After clearing it according to Vishishtadvaita, we can target Vishishtadvaita to (give challenge) explain concept of Moksha! Haha /cc @TheDestroyer

@TheDestroyer yes... hence self alone is the truth which doesn't changes...

@Tezz Yes.

@TheDestroyer Yes, it is called Trikalabadh Satya.

@Pandya Ohh.. i didn't know the name. I got this truth from analyzing different things. Advaita says it. So, my views are close to Advaita.

@Pandya haha.. anyway they will generate their own theories... for eg. Madhavacharya generated that some souls are destined to never get Moksha...

11:46 AM
@Tezz Btw, Has the word Atama anywhere used in the sense of Jiva in Upanishads? (As I think Atma mostly refer to Brahman)

@TheDestroyer Trikalabada satya means which is Truth (Satya) in all kãlas (Tri kala) /time...

@Tezz One question, if Nirguna Brahman has no attributes in Advaita, how is he described as Sat-Chid-Ananda?

@Pandya I think Svetasvatara Upanishad uses it.... but Svetasvatara Upanishad makes clear that it is Lord Himself /Brahman who is in the form of Jeeva...

Is Ananda attribute?

@TheDestroyer Sat-Chid-Ananda are called Swarupa rather than Guna (attributes).

11:49 AM
@TheDestroyer yes, Sat Chid Aananda is swarupa of Brahman...

@Pandya But Nirguna Brahman also has no Rupa or Swa-rupa.

Satyam Jnanam Anantam Brahman. --- Sat
Prajnanam Brahman --- Chitt

@Tezz ok.

@TheDestroyer at least we should agree with the Swarupa like Sat Chidd and aananda... otherwise it means there is no existence of Brahman at all..

@TheDestroyer They are actually necessary for approaching the goal towards Brahman.

11:52 AM
@Tezz haha. Yeah. It makes Him void otherwise.

@TheDestroyer However you want to go one step further to it... Nãsadiya Sukta hints it... it calls Neither existent nor non-existent...

@Tezz yes. i read it. It's the best verse of Vedas.

@TheDestroyer btw you may read about Vivartavada and Ajatavada here:
5
A: What are Vivartavada and Ajatavada?

Pandya1. Vivartavada: Sanskrit word विवर्त means [1] transformation, more precisely [2] apparent form in Vedanta philosophy. Vivartavada means the doctrine of apparent transformation. According to Adi Shankaracharya Jagat (word) is actually apparent transformation of Brahman under the effect of illus...

2

@Tezz not completely.

@Tezz Yes, following two are my favourite verses from Gaudapada/Mandukya Karika: /cc @TheDestroyer
> न निरोधो न चोत्पत्तिर्न बद्धो न च साधकः ।
न मुमुक्षुर्न वै मुक्त इत्येषा परमार्थता ॥
> न कश्चिज्जायते जीवः सम्भवोऽस्य न विद्यते ।
एतत्तदुत्तमं सत्यं यत्र किञ्चिन्न जायते ॥

2 hours later…
1:44 PM
@Tezz fasting tomorrow?

2:29 PM
@SreeCharan Jai Shriman Narayana I've seen almost all english videos of Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy. I am huge fan! he is so simplistic and awesome and explains everything.
@SreeCharan Regarding Lecture. I am okay with his explanations without anupattis vishistadvaita is very easy to understand, and explains itself. Anyway Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy directly mentioned 3 upanishadic philosophy and he explains how vishitadvaita is above adviata and dwaita.
philospophies*
@TheDestroyer Sorry for the late reply Yeah I am talking about that comment on Vedanta Deshikacharya.

@ChinmayaB where he has learned vedanta from ?

2:49 PM
@ChinmayaB How is that disrepectful?
@RakeshJoshi who?

Velukkudi . I think some traditional vedantins dont like him. i heard he is more commercial etc @TheDestroyer
