@goldPseudo what is the difference between too broad and opinion based? I cant seem to know when to use which one

Like if someone asked where can I learn about Islam, should it be closed as too broad or opinion based?

@Casanova not really much difference in a lot of cases; on a subjective site like us, most of the "too broad" is because of difference in opinion.

i'd definitely go "too broad" for questions asking multiple questions, or unfocussed "What does Islam say about [an entire topic]" type things.

and "opinion based" for things like "Some scholars say x is halal and some scholars say x is haram which one is right?"

but there's a lot of middle ground in there where either one would work. Doesn't really make a difference except for deciding which canned advice OP gets when it closes.
