@Quill Private beta normally lasts three weeks. Moderators are chosen a couple of weeks later. Nothing special happens after three months. @PythonMaster

@Quill 90 days was the initial plan for the total duration of the beta, back when Area 51 started. It was soon abandoned because it was far too short.
Area 51 was never updated, so that 90 day thing is still mentioned in various places.
