@DanF hi!
Still here?
Hi there. What's up?
I wanted to talk about Purim Torah. You asked a lot of questions this year, with some going over well and some not so well. Obviously you enjoy it, but I was wondering if you'd had any thoughts about slowing down and putting more effort into fewer questions?
(I apologize if my attempts to fit into a chat message have made things awkward.)
I probably went a bit "meshuga" during the Purim weeks. Habit, I guess. Remind me before next year, OK?
Ok, I can do that. Thanks! People have been suggesting rate-limiting, and I hate to see rules that are really clearly about one or two people, so I wanted to talk with you directly. Also, have you seen this meta post?
In the midst of the PT season it can be hard to notice overall trends. You probably didn't notice that you asked just over a quarter of this year's questions. :-)

I knew that I asked a lot of questions, but no, I did not realize that it was that high. I like the rate limit idea. Perhaps, two would be reasonable, or per 12 hours? Don't know. I'm fine with what you decide.
It looks like some consensus is forming around 1/day/person. There were 100 this year and you asked 26 of them, so 1/day would be a drop from that but still something like 15 or 16. You can pack a lot of good PT into that number of questions.
Thanks for understanding! You contribute a lot to the site throughout the year and I didn't want this to become a source of frustration for anybody.
Of the 3 moderators, I find your "tone" the most pleasing and sensible. I appreciate that, a lot. Undoubtedly, moderating this site is a huge time-intensive job that I think many of us underestimate. Wanted to let you know I appreciate your efforts and esp. your presentation. Oh, and many o fyour answers have offered REALLY great advice.

Thank you! I appreciate that. There's a lot to do moderation-wise but fortunately the community helps. We've got a great community here.
I also appreciate the praise for some of my answers. I know I don't know as much as many folks here, but when I can offer something that helps somebody that feels really good.
You seem to pretty much follow a wise adage - "The fool talks because he has to say something. The wise person talks because he has something to say." You're in the latter category, I think. It's a good example. I have to try to follow that adage more, myself.

Thanks. It can be hard to figure out what is the right amount, especially online where we just have text. Sociologists have been studying that for 30+ years and it's still hard. :-)

Agreed... Enjoyed the chat. Contact me anytime. I'm viewing the meta post on the PTIJ topic. It's an interesting discussion. I'm still not sure whether to vote for or against the policy, overall. Enjoy Pittsburg...
Have a good night. Signing out.
Thanks. Since you would be the user most affected I wanted to make sure you see it.
Good time zone!
Thanks for the chat.
