The puzzle lists questions that were posted. any speculations on whether any answers were posted?
or is it a straight-out dialogue, told as an SE story?

The disclaimer is that it is all just make believe so probably not real questions

right, but in the world of make-believe, were there other SE-related parts not told in the story? just wondering

I think totally unrelevent

nice find, manshu, even in a non-English language like the questions in question in the question

I haven't looked at it yet :p

6:07 PM
@humn I see what you did there

editing? compulsive about it vvvvvvvvvvv

@humn You are using my tactics against me.

no the questions in question in the question part

but....
Apr 9 at 8:44, by manshu
@humn I will never regret that day...I promise :)

you'll regret that promise

Q: How to write a plural form of 'ex' (ex girlfriend..etc)

Maulik V She's my ex But then, In my photo album, you see many exes/exs/ex's of mine?

Must resist the urge to finally sign up on this site so I can mention that they need to all live in Texas...

@humn not if I answer your every message after 2 min. :p

f''
there are a couple comments to that effect already

Haha, are there? I didn't look close enough

If the answer to this is correct I will be pretty disappointed puzzling.stackexchange.com/questions/32762/good-apple-hunting

right, Gordon, not much to do with computer science, for instance, but like little johnny, i like the way they think

6:16 PM
exactly, if anything it should have been tagged steganography

if you really mean "stenography," we could use some puzzles that use Gregg shorthand (probably already have)

I missed some letters haha

interesting idea, though, data compression before computers
just for the record, my theory about math-targeted closures is that some of it is displaced frustration over our site's being riddled with off-the-cuff riddles
(all of which i enjoy, including cultural puzzles where i have no clue)

I challenge you to write something and not edit it, humn. :P

@Khale_Kitha true

6:21 PM
one of these i'll learn to edit what you write .. . . . .

I miss Balki Bartokomous =D

How much score you people give to 'Breaking Bad' on the scale of 0 to 10?

nothing bad to say about it but it wore me out

tv show

Dunno - couldn't find enough interest to get through the first episode

6:28 PM
I am thinking to start watching it.

Not game of thrones 0/10
but in all seriousness I watched the first season but lost interested in the second one pretty fast

@GordonAllocman in breaking bad?

yes, GoT is amazing

@GordonAllocman I have read two books of ASoIaF
and have watched maybe 4 or 5 episodes of it.

Haven't read the books yet, show is awesome though. Which reminds me I haven't seen the lastest episode yet

6:30 PM
KK have read the books.
Maybe all?
right @Khale_Kitha ?

not recently, but yes

f" sniped the answer to my puzzle

I felt (while watching the episodes) like books are better than the tv series

Q: Our puzzling friend 2: Electric Puzzaloo

Gordon AllocmanThank you guys for helping us figure out what activity my friend wanted to do over here! Unfortunately the puzzles didn't stop there. When we asked him to give us the location of where he wanted to go, he gave us this instead: Lorem ipsum vestibulum elementum sapien quis pulvinar Quisque et...

"f", how'd you figure out that puzzle?"

f": "Elementally, my dear Watson."
(I like the edited version, more =D)

6:35 PM
^^^^^^^^^^^^ the R was silent

Idk whose answer to accept now

did you know that "Elementary, my dear Watson" has never been in any book of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Gordon, might want to hold off in any case so that the answers get more attention
which might be a topic for discussion at some point as well ^^^^^^^^^^^^

Same reason people say "Luke, I am your father"
there is a wiki article on it

right, manshu - it came from the movies

6:37 PM
@GordonAllocman Don't spoil Star Wars for me please.

The wookie wins.

@manshu Kirk becomes the captain of the starship enterprise

D'oh, I recycled manshu, again.
manshu's avatar is yelling at humn's Q
or was.

Good job, @f'', you've earned some more sandbox playtime

Puzzle: In the sandbox chat room, try and get the robots into a feedback loop.
and K_K's avatar makes every outburst look bewildered

In case anyone was wondering, the conversion to elements was hinted at, it wasn't only guessable

6:41 PM
(looking for missed hints now)
i like to edit answers to mention clues and such that were missed, just to try and give full credit to the original puzzle

I'll give it some time, he might edit it himself

^^^^ right, think i've only edited someone else's answer that way once

Also leppy pointed it out in the comments under it

some comments deserve promotion to the permanent record
... but this isn't quite the best of all conceivable worlds

(KK doesn't hang his hat in Tennessee, though)

6:44 PM
right, but I figure f" might notice and edit it in

@humn I think I'm reaching the point where I want to know the intended method of solving that one puzzle. So uh, tell... your "friend"... to let me know.

oh hoho, nice of you to remember

to be honest, I've been remembering, I just keep telling myself I still could get it

think i could arrange a seance, q_a, .. when? where?

(I don't think I could actually get it, and I almost definitely won't kick myself when I find out the answer)

6:47 PM
which puzzle?

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Don't be so optimistic..

what!!!

Haha

pangloss, old friend!!

6:48 PM
It's the ghost of optimism, past.
Optimism has left.

spooky!
consider me spooked

lol

right, spooked, never too late to revise that answer

Now I can't feel good anymore.

ooh, that new musical rebus answer might be correct

6:52 PM
you can always start feelin ferrets

:O
I never use that one

She's going to get you, humn
haha

Nice, leppy updated his answer so I can accept his

dissonant
...and das an ant, too

gotta like the way the musical answer "dissonant" goes with the title's "highly"
gotta also like Wesley's technical take

6:56 PM
Nope, sorry guys :) The hint indicates that the strike-through is not pronounced. Here, is it pronounced as "Not". Maybe I should make the puzzle a little more specific ... — fffred 2 hours ago
This is confusing....if "not" is a pronounciation of strike-through

@Khale_Kitha lol I got on his case in a comment on the question

Nearly any possible answer would be, including the OP's "wrong"

right - you can't say "not" doesn't work because you don't pronounce the strikethrough if the strikethrough has any meaning that comes through in the written answer

Yeah

you can say it's not the right answer

6:57 PM
I mean...."not" isn't a pronunciation unless we redefine that word
And if we do - then there's no answer
Oh, I get it.
The answer is "Zero" because the 14's not really there... o.O

well, what I think that person means is just that the strikethrough doesn't become a word
but... it probably does, or else there's no need for it

Yeah

now, it could mean that "14" is not part of the answer
