They probably got away with it for 2x RPis using the trickle of power coming out from the PC PSU designed to keep a PC going in "Standby" mode but the third one probably convinced the unit to go into normal mode and put out it's full power. Ouch!

@Jacobm001 The linked to by @joan Foundation forum item refers to the pi-package command/utility as a GUI(?) replacement for "sudo apt-get install file-to-install". I wasn't even aware of it - guess it must be something like "synaptic" or "apper"...

I've had a slight hitch with my "electric door lock" part of my Home Automation system - some more fitters came out a few days later to fit some bits that were outstanding from the original installation: fit a knocker/spy-hole, replace one window panel with the wrong internal divider and fit a door-chain to allow the door to be securely opened a few inches to talk to but not admit a visitor...

... only trouble is the new fitter put the four mounting screws for the part of the door-chain that goes on the door straight into the additional electric door-lock module - completely wrecking it. I was not a happy bunny. 8-(
