@SteveRobillard, @Ghanima, @goldilocks: I must be going crazy, but it looks like there's actually a question that could use the foundation tag, but hasn't: raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/40787/…

cat
12:54 AM
Psst, anyone here?
@Jacobm001 is there a question of which, say, "will Ubuntu MATE for RPi2 work on RPi Legacy" will be a dupe? I can't seem to search for version compatibilty.

1:08 AM
@cat a quick search didn't return anything directly related.
@cat I'd go ahead and ask. We're not super strict about it.

@Jacobm001, any good ideas on that one, the OP claims that it got nothing to do with ssh raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/40689/…

12:02 PM
sounds like a Pi to me, except twice as costly (sorry the article is not exactly well written and provides no technical spec) phys.org/news/2016-01-palm-sized-emerging-nation.html

I think that's the same thing.
It looks significantly more powerful than the RPi.
Suits a very different purpose though.

ok, lets purge and close rpi.se and start all over again with this thing
@Jacobm001 yea, didnt know, the article I found said really but nothing and I was to lazy to look it up

@Ghanima You really want to start with 0 rep again? :P

it's 1 ;)

No, you get 0 since it was your idea.
Maybe even -5
Out of curiosity, why is so much software distributed in a zip file? There are so many better forms of compression...

@Jacobm001 and looks more appelish than the pi

7:50 PM
@Ghanima That's why it's called Endless. Once it gets a hook into your wallet, it never leaves. Like herpes.

well their kickstarter campaign is certainly quite pro
ok I finally got to the spec
usb3 and gigabit LAN
well that's certainly a Pi+

For sure.
But no GPIO
Which, to be honest, I've never used.

@Jacobm001 well, it's going to be a boring blog, eh? no gpio ;)

Hey, I'm just the editor. I'll write some software stuff, but hardware is well outside my scope.

@Jacobm001 but to be honest, my kodi-thingy needs no gpio either

7:57 PM
Do you know if Jessie-Lite comes with the GUI?

i don't have it, but the description reads: no X

What description?

A: Differences between Raspbian Jessie and Raspbian Jessie Lite

GhanimaIf I understand this and that right, the lite distribution is just a Minimal image based on Debian Jessie without the X-server and its components installed. Meaning it uses less disc space and can run from a smaller SD card. Any desired package can still be installed by apt-get. Technically it s...

people seem to believe me (in this particular case)

Ah, okay. I was looking at the downloads page and it doesn't really say much. That's slightly annoying.

The RPiF FTW!

8:07 PM
Did you guys actually setup the tumbler account?

steve was about to

Okay, I won't do anything like that then.
:)
