Anyways, I think people just are popping on here for a quick question and not staying around to help the community, which is what we need for a good site.

I'm just marauding through the un-answered q's list posting "Have you solved it?" comments and flagging OT. It's absurd what is hidden away in there, especially the answered-in-the-comments questions!

@syb0rg I think a bunch of these users don't even know they can self-answer, we might just need to get the word out and eventually it will catch on.

@syb0rg Another issue that I think may be happening is that users come in, ask a question, and then when they don't get an answer really fast, they leave and never come back.

I would wager a good chunk of the users are one/done people that ask a question, get an answer and leave, often forgetting to or just simply not wanting to mark an answer.

The difference between us and other SE sites is that we are focussed primarily at noobs.

I've been on Code Review quite a bit and that is mainly SE veterans.

@Jivings @syb0rg Yeah...I think he's spamming this Kickstarter in a rather quite way...it's sneaky and they look good, but all end up back with MoPi... :P

@Jivings Good answer...I agree, we need to welcome and talk to new users more. Just ask @JVarhol ... I welcomed him/chatted a bit with him and now I would consider him pretty involved in this site, being #14 for the quarter in reps and 183 rep in only 34 days (+100 from association).
