Is it possible to send the i2c commands through GPIO?

One of my i2c data pin from NQM 4k Light engine(Used for 3d printing), has connected to GPIO pin of Raspberry pi. I wanted to control the intensity of the light engine by sending the data to that Light engine, through Raspberry pi GPIO
