There should be a tag on Mandelbrot set.

2:10 PM
@epic_math We have the tag.

It seems that the tag briefly existed (on one question) in 2015: math.stackexchange.com/posts/1093525/revisions
SEDE did not return any deleted questions with : data.stackexchange.com/math/query/883845/…

One question which was left untouched for some time is what to do with the tag.

A: Tag management 2020

AlexProposal: Create tag xor xor, also known as symmetric difference, is a logical operator for which we have no separate name in English -- for example, when we say "do you want ice cream, or do you want cake", we mean xor but we say or. Since for many people, this is the first new logical operator...

Based on voting on the linked post, it seems that the prevalent opinion is that the tag should not exist.
The tag has now has 32 questions.
Should we remove it manually?
Or should moderators ask a CM to remove the tag? (IIRC burninating is not available to mods.)
Or should we retag manually at least the questions without boolean-algebra tag and a moderator can then retag the remaining 11 questions without bumping - by merging it into ?
Or would we create a new post on meta discussing whether (or ) would be a suitable tag? (Such tag was suggested in Asaf's comment.)
I don't think this is a particularly useful tag. Searching for XOR will lead you to the questions about XOR. So it has no particular value in helping search and classify questions about XOR. It also sets a precedent for tags for other logical operators (which in that case, should just be the one tag logical-operators or some variant thereof). — Asaf Karagila ♦ Sep 27 at 12:33
Would a separate tag for logical operators/connective be sufficiently different from to be actually useful?
If such tag is created, then can be either synonymized or merged into the tag (without causing any bumping). The question is whether we should have such tag at all.
My bad, it has 33 questions not 32.
You can find queries with some stats on this tag here in chat: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/3740/2020/9/27
This is the only question where the tag was added by somebody else then the tag creator: Simple and fast homomorphic checksum - XOR MD5?
In the remaining cases the tag was added: data.stackexchange.com/math/query/1307455/…
@AsafKaragila What do you think? Should we simply start manual removal of ?
Or do mods plan to merge it into another tag?
I thought it might be reasonable to ask you - since you have mentioned as a possible alternative in the discussion on meta.
