Q: Getting the word out

Jamie BanksHi all, The StackExchange team is starting in on ideas for getting math.SE some publicity. Beyond "what websites to advertise on," which was the focus of the previous publicity meta discussion, I'd like to hear any ideas you have on types of events, conferences, etc., to promote the site at (inc...

Q: 'What domain name to use?' Brainstorm

Tom BoardmanProblem Okay so this is clearly an important question and a real head-scratcher at that- from what I've seen, with no one proposal at over 4 votes, we still seem to be miles from the answer (if such a thing exists). Now, the SO blog on domain names suggests we brainstorm (ie. no hold's barred, e...

Thanks @MartinSleziak, I tend to just get rid of that tag.

It seems that the tag was probably created by Tobias Kienzler, who still is occasionally around.
@quid It seems that the tag with this name exists also on some other metas.
So that might be a way to find out what it was intended for.

@MartinSleziak thanks. I'll ask around a bit.

A: Meta Tag: Top-7

Robert Cartaino on July 10, 2010
Groups have an amazing ability to self organize — not by following rules or hierarchies of authority, but through basic human nature. Have you ever found yourself in the middle of a spontaneous brainstorming session with a group of colleagues? Sometimes you just know that you’re at the start of something big — something important…
@quid I think this^^^ is what the tag is about.

Thanks! That's it. Maybe we could leave it around for historical reasons then. Maybe it makes sense to add that info to the tag wiki.

Q: Limit for number of questions where tag can be added by tag-creator soon after the creation of tag

Martin SleziakOccasionally we have seen a situation like this: A user creates a new tag. The tag is then discussed on meta and the consensus is that the tag is not suitable and should be completely removed. However, it takes some time until somebody notices the tag and brings up the issue on meta. And then the...

What about an option (Checkbox) "Don't Bump Question" for Tag changes only? — Royi 2 hours ago
...About making small edits. However, this seems only tangential to the issue raised in this question, which are potential problems caused by the users who create new tags. (And if it is done without bumping, it just makes the situation worse - since it might take longer to notice new problematic tags.) — Martin Sleziak 1 hour ago

Those issues could be solved by many other ways. Like a report of daily new tags, etc... Not every issue should be seen only by what happens on first page :-). Anyhow, there are others to figure this out. It seems the policy is strict even for users with enough credit. — Royi 9 mins ago
