specific-question Should metric-spaces be added here (as the closest approximation we have to metrizable)? T4 and first countable topology that is non metrizable

I wonder whether after retagging a few posts from countability-axioms to new tags for first and second countable spaces and separable spaces we will find out that often 5 tags are not enough. (There are many questions where relation between two of these properties is discussed.)

So perhaps after some time we might revisit the decision made recently on meta and return back to countability-axioms.

I'm reading a book named "Geometry, A comprehensive course" by Dan Pedoe at the moment. But I don't understand when they talk about the equation of a straight line... Here is what is written: The lines of our plane are sets of points which satisfy equations of the form $$a_1X_1+a_2X_2+a_3=0$...
