Certainly I am not against opening a new question on meta discussing what to do with product-space tag.
But I am probably not going to post it (at least not anytime soon). I can live with the current status.
BTW there are again 16 questions tagged as products+general-topology). I'll have a look at them and retag them when I have a bit of time.

One of the reasons might be that I am probably responsible for adding this tag to many of the questions that currently have it. Simply for the reason that many users are unaware of this tag. (And since I know about it, I add the tag when I see a question where it fits.)
