@quid Since nobody replied here in chat, maybe it would be useful to bring up the possibility of cancelling the synonym topology $\to$ general-topology on meta...? (At least if we want to get some response on that.)

Maybe the former suffices. It would not be that big a decisision.

I am not really sure. It is probably up to you.

On one hand, the post in the long thread to not get too much attention. (Judging by the numbers of votes.)

On the other hand, if we have too many separate threads about tagging, it is not very good either.

I guess posting in tag management thread first might be a reasonable idea. If there are too many comments on the post, it is an indicator that longer discussion - and a separate post - is probably needed.
