@Marshmallow I agree that the tag management thread is rather long. But IIRC it is generally agreed that if longer discussion is needed, then the particular tag should be discussed in separate question.
So the concentration of most tag-related things in one thread helps in the sense that we do not have too many questions about tags on meta.
And we could easily have more - perhaps 10% of messages in this room could make a meta question.
OTOH having many things in one thread clearly can cause some of them to be overlooked or forgotten.

@Martin removed the tags part from the question. I don't know why I wrote that, seeing the revision. I have seen the many edits to those, and they are all from well before yesterday. So either I remember wrong, or something mysterious happened when I tried to look at the page for that tag. Or maybe I only saw this, and (incorrectly) deduced the tag had no info, whereas it is just a matter of synonyms. I think I will ask a new meta question about this. — MickG 21 mins ago
