I need to simplify this expression: $$(w+1) I_2\left(2 \sqrt{w+1}\right)-w I_2\left(2 \sqrt{w}\right)$$ I think the context where it arose (Fourier transforms) is quite irrelevant because I am asking for just simplification. Wolfram Mathematica cannot simplify it further.
I have read in a book here something I think is wrong. It says that a boolean function $\phi:B^2\rightarrow B$ defined by a truth table where {0,1} and {0,0} returns {1}, cannot be expressed with a boolean expression of two variables $\phi(x,y)$. I don't know if I´m missunderstanding the notion o...
I recently asked this question, which I wanted to tag in such a way that would indicate it was a very basic question about simplifying an expression. Because of 6005's comment, I learnt about the algebra-precalculus tag. Can I edit this tag's wiki to indicate that the algebra-precalculus tag incl...
I thought that "span" would be a good tag to add to this question on Mathematics Stack Exchange, but when I click on "Edit Tags", type "span", click on "span", and click on "Save Tag Edits", I don't see the "span" tag appearing, the way an additional tag usually has when I have added other tags t...
