A few days ago I have mentioned interesting-tags.

One option would be a synonym of favorites. Another option would be create a new tag favorite-tags and make it synonym of this new tag.

In any case, the current situation is not ideal, since users are not sure what that tag is supposed to be used for. (Which might lead to rather inconsistent usage.)

Is this minor enough issue to be decided here in chat, or should I post about this tag in tag management thread?

I probably would not notice this tag if it was not for meta.MO, where a few questions had this tag: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/10243/2018/5/19

In fact, I've made also this suggestion on Meta Stack Exchange: Should (interesting-tags) be among default tags? (However, it does not help already existing site, even in the unlikely case that it is implemented.)

@MartinSleziak but wouldn't "favorites" be about favorite-questions rather than tags? Or is there a separate tag for that? To mix the tow together is likely not ideal as they are rather different.

@quid Maybe it's my fault, but currently favorites is used for both, and also the tag-info says so.

Of course, creating separate tag favorite-tags and retagging older questions (where favorites would be incorrect) is an option too.

At least the 6 questions tagged favorites+tagging are about favorite tags, but I'd guess there can be more such questions currently tagged favorites.

If you think that it is better to discuss this on meta (both creation of the synonym and whether or not these two things can be under the same tag), I can make a post in tag management thread. (With suggestion to create synonym and asking whether other users think favorite questions and favorite tags should be separate.)
