I have removed two more instances of : math.stackexchange.com/posts/2958549/revisions math.stackexchange.com/posts/2958659/revisions Perhaps now we are close enough to the daily script (it's 03:00 UTC, isn't it?) so that the tag will be finally removed.

I'd guess both and can be omitted from Prove $\lim\limits_{x\to\frac52}\frac1{4x-8}=0.5$ via delta epsilon, right? The question does not contain actual proof - only beginning of the solution.
Maybe some of other posts by the same OP are mistagged, too: math.stackexchange.com/… math.stackexchange.com/… math.stackexchange.com/…

@AlexanderGruber I'd prefer one tag that is called convergence-divergence rather than a synonym. We might end up with the opposite situation of divergence (in the vector calculs sense) being remapped to convergence. — quid ♦ Oct 14 at 1:26
@quid Do you plan post this suggestion as an answer - either here or in the tag-management thread?
Or will this change happen after the discussion between mods? (That is probably sufficient.)
The reason I am asking is the following:
As a reaction to the thread on meta (Misuse of tag “divergence”: How to deal with questions with the wrong tag?) I have started retagging some questions about divergence of series/integrals.
However, it seems that I have started the activity a bit prematurely - if the tag is going to be renamed , then probably in some situations where I simply omitted the (divergence) tag, a more suitable action would be replacing it with (convergence- divergence).
Or course, if is renamed to , probably also a minor update of the tag-excerpt and tag-wiki will be needed.
Another question related to this tag: Is it intended only for convergence of sequences? Can I use it also for convergence of nets/filters? (I have been using in this way - including nets and filters.)
What about questions aobut convergence/divergence of integrals? Do they belong under the sam etag?

A: Misuse of tag "divergence": How to deal with questions with the wrong tag?

Alfred YergerAlternative proposal: Remove this tag. There are a only approximately 500 questions with this tag, which already refers to only one very specific operation in elementary vector calculus, or calculus on manifolds, for which we also have appropriate tags which are much larger. In my view, a good...

@MartinSleziak it was more an off-hand remark. I did not think about the implications.

@quid I'd guess we should wait and see whether some kind of consensus is reached - now that there is a new suggestion to remove the tag completely.
In any case, if there is a need to do some manual retagging, I'll try to help.
