@Cerberus: Turkish journalist Sedef Kabas was arrested recently for upsetting Erdogan: "When the ox arrives at the palace, he does not become king; the palace becomes a barn.". I thought it was funny, the pres. didn't.

@Cerberus Not just right-wing leaders, I'm sure. In China you can get in trouble with a picture of Winnie the Pooh because people have noticed an admittedly undeniable similarity with the face of General Secretary Xi.

@SebastianKoppehel Right-wing/left-wing is an inadequate distinction. It's authoritarian rulers in general who do this.
