@Nathaniel Alas, my question has not yet found an answer.
weeps, bawls, and then collapses
O Cerbere! Quid agis?
(I wish you could tag people while using the vocative form of their name.)

@ktm5124 Post a feature request on meta? I've been wishing for that as well, and my experiments show that the vocative doesn't indeed work currently.

@ktm5124 It's a bit tricky with those particular terms... I think they are basically synonyms with other more standard terminology, but there are surely theologians out there who use that language. So don't give up hope of getting an answer :)

A question for the Latin symposium. Which law of affinity better describes friendship: like attracts like or opposites attract? Can there be friendship stemming from the second principle (opposites attract)? Or is it best to stick with the former, more logical principle that like attracts like when seeking friendship or marriage?

@ktm5124 I'm not sure that that's a useful dichotomy. It might be too utilitarian of me, but mutual benefit is what keeps a friendship alive.
Certain amount of similarity helps communication at many levels, and common interests allow for shared experiences, but similarity or dissimilarity is not the main variable.
