@cmw To avoid sidetracking the comments here: I, too, expect a good answer to come from Plautus or his colleagues. I just wanted to push the OP to include their own thinking in full. They appear to know the Romance phrases but decided not to share them, and that I find counterproductive.

I ended up closing the question, especially in light of the other comment and all the votes. The question looks promising to me, but its presentation needs some work.
