@Nickimite It sounds like you have a decent picture of what you like and what your goals are in the longer term. That's much more than can be said of many students considering grad school.
A PhD thesis isn't supposed to be revolutionary. It just needs to be good work and get you to graduate. Too grandiose goals can turn against you.
In a PhD you can lay the foundations of something greater you want to do later, whether within or without academia.

Well thank you Joonas. It's good to know I'm on the right track. Perhaps I'll read some more of Cicero's dialogues or Seneca's diatribes.
I could do a comparison to a modern self-help book xD

Oh yeah -- I could do De Amicitia and How to make friends and Influence people
That might be an interesting combination of genres. I've never read self-help books, apart from a single one I got ages ago as a present that turned out to be entirely pointless. Building on ancient wisdom would certainly give it an angle.
