11:00 PM
the pink pony is pinky pie
ok not very creative

@DominicMichaelis you know these stuff?

ehm ...
yeah ^^

haha
@DominicMichaelis no problem, no problem

@DominicMichaelis HAHAHAHAHHA
@DominicMichaelis what time is it, Domick?

11:05 PM
5 minutes past midnight

@DominicMichaelis aah

what time do you have ?

@DominicMichaelis 20h06

For a convergent sequence $\{a_n\}_{n\in \mathbb{N}}$ such that $\sum_{k=1}^{\infty}a_n$ is convergent, its sequence of partial sums is obviously bounded.

11:07 PM
no?
ok wait sorry i wrote that wrong

or take any convergent serious with limit neq 0

@DominicMichaelis hehe series :)

in german it is Folge

@PeterTamaroff: I think I have gotten the idea of your question and also simplified the math at the same time :-)

we have the same wort for a episode
of a film

11:09 PM
now the sum of its sequence of partial sums need not be bounded correct?

or wait

if $s_n := \sum_{k=1}^{\infty} a_n$ then can anything be said about $\sum_{k=1}^{\infty} s_n$?

@mick :)

the limit of the sum must be zero
so if we say a_n geq 0
we must have a_n = 0 for all n

@Charlie hi ! unfortunately i cant stay long

11:12 PM
@mick I'm almost going too :(

@DominicMichaelis ok, that helps

I completed my profile ! @Charlie

@DominicMichaelis thanks

@mick Good!

nevermind :)

11:13 PM
@Charlie Now you can read personal stuff about me

@mick Belgium, eh?
Okay guys, I have to go :)
@Dominic Bye bye see you!

@Charlie AGE !

@charlie bye sweetie

@mick see you!

@mick you are 14 =

11:14 PM
@mick you are not 14
@DominicMichaelis Bye!

@Charlie why not ?

just because

lol
goodnight @Charlie

14 years old don't ast Let f(z) be a function meromorphic in a simply connected convex domain D (subset of the complex plane with positive area or the whole complex plane) where z is a complex number.

@mick :D. KID

11:15 PM
@DominicMichaelis why not ?
afterall not all boys are into soccer !

because meromorphic is only for 18 +

@Charlie kid gohan :)
@DominicMichaelis Im 14 but not a virgin
xD
Goodnight fellows

good night

@Charlie be carefull with your diamonds ;)
Btw I always post a question before I go to chat. Guess that goes without saying by now ...
goodnight
@DominicMichaelis have a nice meromorhpic dream ;)
@robjohn bye
@AlexJBest bye

11:34 PM
@Khromonkey yes, why?

@robjohn Hehehe, yes.

@PeterTamaroff Hello

@user43758 Who are you?
@robjohn Arfe you there?
Could you tell me how to "compose" $O$s?
I have $\lambda_n=1+\frac{\lambda}n+O(1/n^2)$ and I have $\log(1+x)=x+O(x^2)$. How do I get the $O$ expression for $\log(\lambda_n)$?

@anon the thousand hand jutsu is awesome, also the first's sage mode

Hi, could you help me tag this question? I used linear-algebra and set-theory. Someone deleted the set-theory tag, and maybe correctly, but I don't think linear-algebra fits either. It's not really a linear algebra question...

11:48 PM
@Bartek I think set theory is OK.

user19161
@PeterTamaroff I think neither tag is OK.

@JacobBlack Why?

user19161
@PeterTamaroff Well, sure linear algebra and sets may be involved, but these are not the spirit of the matter.

@JacobBlack "Spirit of the matter"?

user19161
@PeterTamaroff Well, I mean the flavour, the essence, the substance, etc.

11:50 PM
@JacobBlack You're making it pretty subjective!

@Jacob So what do you think is the spirit of the matter? I'm also not sure that set theory fits, but I think it's much better than linear algebra.

user19161
@PeterTamaroff Tagging is so subjective that I rather not have it.

We don't have tags for what the problem's flavour is...!

I think abelian groups maybe?

@JacobBlack I think set theory is OK.

11:51 PM
Do you consider it rude for people asking you to check their answers?

@Khromonkey I think it is OK.

@Peter hmm, then should I rollback?

It is a good habit

user19161
@Bartek How about geometry?

@PeterTamaroff does this look allright to you? math.stackexchange.com/questions/309579/…

11:52 PM
@JacobBlack Oh, that is an idea!

@Bartek Whatever you like. I, on the other hand, don't think linear algebra is appropriate.

user19161
@Bartek It's up to you to choose. I think the owner of the post should have some special say in the matter.

user19161
Geometrical transformations may be studied using linear transformations though.

@Khromonkey Nope. Too messy!

@Peter I also don't think it is! Actually, I don't even use the whole structure of a vector space, just the additive structure.

user19161
11:54 PM
But it is not clear how the linear transformations play a part here.

@PeterTamaroff where is it messy?

OK, I'll change it to set theory and geometry. We'll see what happens. :)

user19161
Geezis, everyone is so obsessed with the MIT OCW.

@Khromonkey its correct, but you should clarify that by taking the ratio of two terms with a term in between you obtain the square of the common multiple in the geometric series, so that way they can make sense of the first part.

@Khromonkey I mean untidy, hard to read.

user19161
11:56 PM
@Bartek Set theory isn't right.

@JacobBlack We should duel to death.

user19161
@PeterTamaroff Let us join Abel.

user19161
I have seen the MIT lectures, nothing fantastic.

@Jacob Well, I need some tags... Geometry is very general.

user19161
I mean that one can find many notes online that are equally good or better than the MIT OCW ones.

user19161
11:58 PM
@Bartek I think all questions should just be tagged as mathematics.

@JacobBlack You want this world to end.

user19161
@PeterTamaroff Not a bad idea. It's time to start a new world. We can rule the world together, you and me...
