I'm not sure on all of the issues, but the main problem is (as usual) people being stuck in the past.

Canada has some very shameful events in it's history with regards to how it's treated Aboriginal people. The problem is a lot of the protesters seem to be under the impression nothing has changed.

In Startopia, when you have a laboratory, you can research new technologies, new rooms, new equipement. However, when you don't give anything to work on to your scientists, they will randomly spend their time "improving an existing technology". What is the actual effect of this improvement?

@fbueckert ...which is because Enix North America closed before it was released, but Enix Europe didn't close until after it was released.

Having said that, if you use an emulator, there's a patch to fix Enix's stupid "Whoops, PAL, slow the game down 10%!" crud.

I'm not sure why Enix did that, but any game they released in PAL territories runs slower than its NTSC equivalent. I assume it was to deal with issues from moving from 60Hz interlaced to 50Hz non-interlaced.
