Well here would probably be the safest place to ask for such things.

Also from personal experience with gaming laptops... make sure the cooling works well. A lot of gaming laptops are in danger of overheating.

Apart from that it's almost the same as a normal gaming PC. Good graphics card, good processor. A screen size you're comfortable with. Personally I'd say battery life doesn't really matter too much since modern games tear through that in 1-2 hours anyways

Yeah, but there are other considerations as well. For example: my current gaming laptop actually has 2 GPUs that are vastly different in power, and a bunch of games can't properly handle that and use the weaker one. And there might be other things as well

@Nzall Yeah but I guess you'd have the same problems on a desktop. That'd be more of a "What should I look for in a gaming PC" question. Not specific to a laptop

I think apart from the cooling stuff most things about laptops are personal preference

And all the problems you'd have with performance will occur regardless of whether it's a laptop or desktop

@Jutschge Yeah, but a Desktop GPU is different. Frequently, the laptop monitor frame buffer is found on the weaker GPU, and the stronger GPU feeds into it. A Desktop GPU tends to be a completely separate component that you directly plug your monitors into

Yup... got some bad experience when I ignore those things

The 6th boss in mythic is the first actually "hard" one and 975 shows that the player is actively raiding mythic and not just getting boosted

sometimes I also check logs

I only do that for m+ though since there's only 4 other people

But I've seen a ton of 960+ players that are below 1.2m dps singletarget

I usually don't care too much about tanks since I'm healing and I can compensate for most tank mistakes in +15s but if the boss/trash lives forever it's super annoying

I've found that at 962, I'm usually doing 1.7-1.8M

more if I can cleave

@Nzall That's perfectly fine. Actually everything over 1.5m is for +15. It's more like people who deal less than 1.2m with that much gear are also often terrible at playing mechanics

@Chippies I think the main thing is that I'm not actually going to use it all that much. I have a fully functional gaming PC at home which I use for my gaming at home, and this would pretty much only be to use for like 3 hours every 2-3 weeks plus any longer stays abroad

and even then mainly for WoW

and I'm not planning to game on battery power

the weak spot for laptops is the cpu and it will be noticeable in any MMO

@Chippies Mainly just leveling and queued content. I'm not in a raiding guild, so I'm not really going to raid on the laptop

for just running around, doing some quests or something, a normal laptop i7 will be fine, but for more serious content you will want a laptop with a desktop grade cpu, clocked at 3ghz+

Especially because at the place I'd use it the most, the internet is pretty slow, to the point that I'm having 4-500 MS

while at home I got 1/20th of that

It depends. I'm someone who would rather give up some graphical fidelity if it means I can play at or around 60 FPS

@Nzall the thing is, with a laptop cpu, graphical fidelity might not matter

if a game is cpu intensive, you might get maybe 5 more fps at lowest settings compared to ultra

of course I'm talking extremes here

but MMO's are cpu intensive

On my current laptop (MSI GT70 bought in 2014), I can get 60 FPS in WoW by dropping my quality preset to around 5

1. it has 2 GPUs which many games can't handle properly so they use the wrong GPU

2. it is quite noisy at default speed, and way too noisy on the turbo mode

I never used turbo mode for anything other than cooling it off after a long gaming session was over

fairly certain you can disable the integrated gpu in bios as well, if you really want to kill your battery life, lol

that's what I'm doing at the moment and even that doesn't work on some games

well, if you are satisfied with the performance on your GT70 then getting a decent laptop shouldn't be that hard

although getting something without integrated gpu does limit the options quite a lot

what I would recommend is - get an i7 for cpu, because in mobile cpu's, i5's are dual cores with hyperthreading, rather than quad cores (at least it used to be when I last researched, a while ago) and if you can find - get an 8th gen cpu, because Intel finally made a generational leap with their 8th gen

Q: What version of PUBG Mobile is on playstore, Timi or Lightspeed?

And lots of implications, I don't know the half of them

But it does make it easier to comply with all privacy regulations in the EU... mostly because they've all gotten stricter to the same level

The main things are that you can't collect data from people without telling them, have to tell them exactly what you're using it for, and have to delete it when you're done

@Ave also just for clarity after looking up the possible sanctions. The first step is a warning (assuming non-intentional non-compliance)

I recently got the new update for minecraft windows 10 update v1.2.13. I am able to speak twice in chat like "hello" "I am (Username)" then I cannot speak in chat after that! I type something and send it but it doesn't show in the chat! I just want to talk to my friends, someone help!
