Q: How does the fatman deal damage?

Anthony MastreanI had a single dweller on a quest with a fatman. It seemed that the fatman dealt damage to every enemy in the room, regardless of who the dweller was aiming at. The damage seemed lower per enemy than I expected. As the enemies died, and there was only 1 enemy remaining, the damage seemed to inc...

@Lazers2.0 Through gravity

Avatar changed \o/
It has puppies in it

@KevinvanderVelden Does it also have these horrible white top/bottom bars?

Transparent and no
(or at least they should have been transparent)

@KevinvanderVelden WHatever, it was a colored block with horrible bars.
Also: sneaky deep dream there.

2:09 PM
Yes, hence puppies \o/
CC @fredley on the horror

so I guess I'm a homewrecker now
i need to give up trying to find a girl that isn't crazy
fuck this whole weekend is just one big regret

@GnomeSlice I should just give up in trying to find a girl, hasn't gone well the past 20 years

Wet should have known better to get so drunk given the circumstance
we
uggggh now I feel like human garbage

go watch a really good movie
maybe it'll help you forget about your problems
binge a season of a TV show

Im going to work
and that's not a good way to deal with problems anyway

2:17 PM
oh, listen to a podcast then?
why not?

fucking fucked up this girls life
for a while i guess at least
the dude sounds like an asshole but still

I would say accidents happen but that really doesn't help and sounds stupid

Yeah. I should have known better

@KevinvanderVelden Hey! I resemble that remark.

but thanks

2:21 PM
@GnomeSlice I don't want to be a dick to this girl and I don't really know the situation but it isn't just your fault, it's hers too.

i know but still. i let it happen.
I have no fucking self control

You're both adults doing consensual things, saying no to someone who is already in a mono relationship is a good thing, and yes it's jerky to not do so. However she also has the responsibillity to be monogamous in a monogamous relationship

we were just going to hang out and have a few drinks and not do that
ugh I wish i was dead

@GnomeSlice That's not going to help.

@GnomeSlice Basically: Yes you screwed up. It happens. But it is not your responsibility to guard her relationship

PLC

Proposed Q&A site for PLC programming professionals

Currently in definition.

So, kick yourself once and don't worry too much about it
(though, do apologize of that's an option)

It's an Alestorm clip, so it does qualify for "random"

Can confirm, alestorm is quite random

@KevinvanderVelden this specific clip is even for their normal standards pretty random.

2:30 PM
@KevinvanderVelden Haven't you linked those before? I sorta remember the name.

I have
They're my go-to "random weird metal"-band

so I'm writing stuff into excel and apparently I'm writing it in diagonally xD
As you can tell I'm a pro

You both fucked up, and you shouldn't blame yourself. She didn't protect the limits and you didn't respect the limits. However, you were both drunk, which makes it less of both of your fault, I guess. I understand it feels bad, and it's normal for it to feel so. However, it's not the end of world for you, for her or her SO. Please take some time to calm down and get over the anxiety. WHARRRRRRRRGARBL

Random: Snapstreak is a neat feature.

2:39 PM
PLAN D: get a final presentation up before Wednesday, presentation goes well Friday

Rip plan C?

@Unionhawk I hope it goes well.

(What was plan C anyway)

PLAN E: convince my professor that because the other person in my group received a passing grade already and is traveling home (ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS) I should be allowed the same
@KevinvanderVelden throw other person under the bus on particular small items

What, it's a group project right? If it's done for a passing grade it's done for a passing grade

2:41 PM
But like I didn't realize he actually got a grade so the only thing holding him to help me complete this is "because I still have an incomplete"

That smells like bullshit

@KevinvanderVelden his visa is expired so

It's a 2 person project?

Exceptions~
@KevinvanderVelden well, was 3

Ugh. Group projects at school suck.

2:42 PM
I am now the only person in the group with an incomplete
And will be the only person to present in person Friday.
Fuck. This.

@Unionhawk How did he get a grade already and you didn't? WHat kind of nonsense is that?

3 mins ago, by Unionhawk
@KevinvanderVelden his visa is expired so

@Unionhawk Wait, what?
How did the third person get a grade?

@Unionhawk SO they graded the project, but were like "fuck this guy, we'll enter his scores later"

Plan E is essentially "this is horseshit I'm not coming back to work on this when everyone else in the group has a grade"

2:47 PM
I say go with plan e

@TimStone all of the issues our client had were strictly electrical and computer.

And then decided to just not do so?

The small mechanical items were done

seems really unfair to grade everyone in a group separately to the point of different times and such

@BlueBarren This.
It's a group project, get it done in a group already.

2:48 PM
@Unionhawk Are the group members responsible for different aspects or something?
20 hours ago, by Tim Stone
@Unionhawk This sounds like a whole lotta effort, I don't condone this. Tell your professor they're fired
>_>

Morning, Bridge

Ah, school projects.

Morning

Also @Arperum I changed my avatar again, now with 100% less puppies

2:50 PM
Actual contribution graphs to an actual school project

holy crap

@KevinvanderVelden \o/

@PrivatePansy in this case I think the guy with 200 more contributions is the problem

@PrivatePansy As it was, as it always will be

@BlueBarren that's ppansy

2:51 PM
If it's any consolation, you're much more likely to have a successful career than the other people

A four man team, by the way. Team composition is two backend dev, one designer and one business guy

@arda Oh... I totally knew that xD runs away

....xD

CC @kalina

@fredley flags

2:52 PM
rip @kalina

inb4 @kalina

@This goddamn mouse: STOP THE BLOODY FREESCROLL FOREVER

inb4 FIRE

@Arperum But it wants to go WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE‌EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE‌EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE‌EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

@PrivatePansy are commits really a good to measure contribution to a project? I know in my experience I don't commit enough and yet I'm the one doing all the work (I'm working by myself)

2:53 PM
@Arperum What mouse do you have?

I mean, I tend to commit a lot or very few, depending on the project. Like, if the project is huge and fragile, I tend to commit on every change, but if it is small and isn't that important, I don't commit all that much.

@BlueBarren But also look at the line counts per person

@BlueBarren see also: Lines of code changed

@BlueBarren They're not, and it is possible to get less work done with more commits / SLoC

@KevinvanderVelden inb4

2:53 PM
@SaintWacko Some random thing my boss bought because the previous one I had randomly doubleclicked.

But when the difference is that big

@SaintWacko Curse you!

@Arperum Doesn't it have a clutch?

@SaintWacko but with more commits that would obviously be higher, no?

Also: he had more line removals then the other people had additions and removals combined

2:54 PM
oh wait

@BlueBarren Not necessarily, no

I see what you're saying
nvm

@fredley There is no "no free scroll" option on it.

I have two logitech mice, one has the clutch on the wheel itself, the other on the button next to the wheel. So confuse.
@Arperum reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekt

In this case that is a good way to show contribution

2:54 PM
@djsmiley2k I actually fixed it. It's a miracle!

@GnomeSlice If it makes you feel any better, I've wrecked my share of homes in the last ten years or so. So much to the point that I had to take steps to make sure it didn't happen again.

@fredley Is the second one an MX Master?

@arda I don't remember what was broken!

@BlueBarren Here's another school project that's more equally shared

@SaintWacko No, sadly. MX Anywhere and MX Performance
Whenever one dies I'll get a master though probably

2:55 PM
@djsmiley2k oh snap I did on a different branch but not on this, brb

@fredley Ah, okay. I skipped that generation

@PrivatePansy That Yi Jiang looks like a slacker

I used to use a VX Revolution

@fredley The weird part is that the freescroll doesn't actually freescroll forever in all situations. Not even in all firefox tabs.

2:56 PM
@SaintWacko It's pretty great. I have back/forward on the thumb as ctrl+left and right arrow. Surprisingly useful.

The person playing cricket is just playing cricket

@KevinvanderVelden Hahahaha

Can basically tab switch in most applications with the mouse

Yep, fixed on my private branch, not so much on the public one. -- fixed on public now too

Also have scroll wheel nudge set to change workspaces

2:57 PM
The funny thing is, if you ask the other three members, they'll all unanimously agree that I did most of the work

Then started using a Razer Orochi, then picked up an MX Master
I'd highly recommend it

Well, most is perhaps a bit much. But more than fair

In social psychology, social loafing is the phenomenon of a person exerting less effort to achieve a goal when they work in a group than when they work alone. This is seen as one of the main reasons groups are sometimes less productive than the combined performance of their members working as individuals, but should be distinguished from the accidental coordination problems that groups sometimes experience. Research on social loafing began with rope pulling experiments by Ringelmann, who found that members of a group tended to exert less effort in pulling a rope than did individuals alone. In more...

@fredley I have the thumb buttons on my home MX Master bound to shift and tab, because I use it for WoW :P

@PrivatePansy pff, such a slacker

I have 3 configurable buttons on my mouse (well, besides the regular mouse buttons/sidescrolling) and they're for 3 different push-to-talk buttons

@fredley dammit

@fredley What's wrong with that?

@SaintWacko atlassian tends to overprice everything

@KevinvanderVelden Why do you have three different ptt buttons?

user15026
2:59 PM
@fredley to be honest I kinda expected Trello to be sold off eventually

@SaintWacko They'll probably remove the free/personal option

@arda Ah, okay. We use Confluence and Jira at work
