Incidentally, an answerer believing in their answer is...a rather specious argument. Belief is immaterial; what matters is the content. If these had been posted by two different users, would you have deleted them? Unless answers have been posted in bad faith (which does not seem to have happened here), then this is what voting is for. Not deletion. — fbueckert 9 secs ago

Should hopefully help. The only things that are supposed to be deleted are non-answers and obviously bad faith answers. Wrong answers are still answers, which should be a community actioned deletion, not mods.

I honestly expected a particular one of the answers to be upvoted and the other to be downvoted, and then I would (maybe) delete the downvoted one and support the upvoted one

Deleting one of the answers arbitrarily seems a bit heavy-handed. If he really thought you were setting up a poll, I would have preferred a bit of communication where he asked you to pick the one to be deleted and left the other alone.

@murgatroid99 If two answers are completely opposed, but both are valid answers, it could be good subjective. It could also be POB. I don't play enough MtG, but it's an indicator of a question perhaps being on shaky ground.

Which means it's not a poll.

More to the point, though, diametrically opposed answers do not create a poll. The question creates the poll, and if you think the answers are doing so, then you need to judge the question's premise, not the answers. As there are no close votes on the question, then it seems the community agrees with it being good subjective. Which means the answers you deleted are valid answers. — fbueckert 8 secs ago

Q: Pokemon HeartGold - trading

Yes, there is already a similar question here, but it's not the same. Situation: WEP connection is not a good idea. There's no-one around who owns another 3DS and a Pokemon game. My question is: does this mean that there's no way for me to actually trade pokemon? I understand it only works...

Q: help needed for twitch.tv

I'm a new streamer on Twitch.tv and yesterday when I was streaming I could see the chat but today it didn't show up (even when I went to watch other channels). Does anyone know how to fix this I need to know ASAP. All help will be appreciated. Thank you!!!
