I guess what I'm ultimately trying to say is that you guys are wrong for having fun in a different way than me. People should only be allowed to have fun the way I have fun.

If I have 3000 points in each stat, being able to distribute 300 more is not that appealing. I'm going to want to dump all those in one place because otherwise it will have a negligible effect.

That's also why @GnomeSlice is a monster for liking the Star Wars prequels. STOP ENJOYING THINGS I DON'T ENJOY.

@OrigamiRobot Then make it so 1500 of those points come from attributes instead of only 300.

Also, to be clear, I do like the item hunting in games. I just also really enjoy theoycrafting all the crafts.

The fact that D2 had distributable attribute points only tricked you into thinking there was any real decision to be made.

@Wipqozn I'll have fun however I like! And I'll take @OrigamiRobot's side because it saves me from having to read to find out what's going on.

That may be true, but it did give you something to do when leveling. In D3 I just didn't feel a lot of levels mattered.

A lot of the time I'd get a skill, play around with it, then just go back to what I was using before.

If you were playing a paladin you also wanted enough DEX to get max block.

EXCEPT THAT WAS NEGATED BY THE SKILL HOLY SHIELD SO IT DIDN'T MATTER ANYWAY.

With all that said I might enjoy D3 at max level.

I never hit the cap, for a few reasons.

In fact maybe I should try it again.

Part of problem too was that items didn't matter much either. The auction house just broke everything.

The combination of no attributes/skill points are level up + auction house is a large part of what ruined it for me.

In fact the max level comment canbe ignored.

I might actually enjoy it with the new loot system and the AH removed.

@Wipqozn THink of it this way. Does Monster Hunter have attribute points? No. What do you have to do to change your playstyle? Just change items. Same with Diablo, but you also get to change skills!

I think ultimately what I really disliked about D3 is that I really, really felt the grind. The reason for this is because of both the lack of points to spend and the AH.

Anyone remember where that shared google spreadsheet was where everyone listed their gamertags/friend codes/home phone numbers/etc?

Is that still a thing?

It's easy enough to say "I won't use the AH!", but when the stuff on there is just so much cheaper and everything you keep finding is complete crap it's so hard to resist.

I'm not sure what use gold is going to have once the AH shuts down; the gold sinks in-game don't seem to be enough.

If you're still playing Diablo after the expansion comes out and you don't have the expansion, you're doing it wrong.

Q: Villager cap per world

I created an iron golem farm on ps3. It is designed to have 4 artificial villages with 16 villagers each. The first two reproduced villagers to the designed limit of 16 each. On the 3rd, villagers stopped reproducing at 13. Is there a per world limit on the number of villagers in the PS3 version?

@OrigamiRobot Nope. They've converted every bit of crafting (subtle essences, pages of blacksmithing/jewelcrafting, etc.) into their Inferno equivalents.

There is still more than one type of crafting item.

So now, all your crafting is done with Exquisite Essences, Iridescent Tears, Brimstones, and Common Debris.

Q: how long do 'War Justifications' last in Victoria 2?

Several times I've gone to the diplomacy screen to start a war and find my previous justifications are gone. Is there a time limit to 'claim' those justifications? if so, is there a way to make the game show a message or warning when it's about to happen? And if not, why did my justifications dis...

Looks like power inflation is going to be a very real thing with the expansion.

Can't even sell plans, so you have to be stupidly lucky to find the plans for those things, anyways.

There are two ways to get rid of the old economy and start a new one. Power inflation and ladder.

Q: Performance Issue In Google Earth

My current version of Google Earth runs poorly and I'm not sure why. Often when exploring around it stutters terribly. If I launch the flight sim, my framerate is out of control. I never had this problem before. My PC has a 3770, 12 gigs of ddr3 and a 7870 and Google Earth is installed on an SSD....

Because the item system in D3 was terrible at launch combined with the AH combinde with the lack of attribute points.

They've basically solved 2/3 of my problems with D3.
