@El'endiaStarman Yes, the conwaylife.com forums have reached the point where a new thread that starts with the word "Challenge" is fairly likely to get some interesting responses!
So far calcyman's über-Life-nerd entry definitely takes the cake, in my book --

-- it takes some imagination to think of reducing the size of the bounding box by switching to Corderships for two of the inputs (and outputs).
(They're ridiculously oversized, and you're really out of luck if you have to convert them to or from any other kind of signal. But they do have the smallest known signal splitters -- just four cells produces a Heisenburped glider.)
