but Pokemon, from day 1, was gonna be on switch and only on switch. If shit doesnt work on switch, you have to change it
And yeah to come back to the point you were making, its not like we havent seen more impressive on switch
BOTW/TOTK was a locked at least 30 in 95% of the game and you could see where they pushed the switch maybe a little bit hard
Pretty sure Xenoblade 2-3 was locked 30 too
Pokemon: Empty world with 2 blades of grass... 20 fps
Like weve heard that TOTK was ready a year before release, and they just took a year of optimisation and clean up
PS/V needed that
and dont tell me they havent got the budget
I found it fucking funny when I played scarlet recently; when you were talking about that I always tought 'it cant be that bad' and/or 'hell, shitty releases happen, they'll fix it'
It IS that bad, and they havent fixed it
i was mad just looking at how when theres a gym battle, the trainer, the gym leader, and pokemon are 30fps, but EVERYBODY else is like at 5
Like Story, previsible but in pokemon they usually dont go out the box anyways; Some problems with the open 'go to any gym anytime', in the way that you are not given an order and you might just walk up to a gym that will wipe the floor with you; and the new pokemon were ok, as always
Yeah, that is a good point to raise; the optimisation was so lazy that they didnt even seem to look at how they could optimise the actors or whatever, they just made all the NPCs just drop frames
cue egoraptors rant about how Skyward Sword was a shit game because it just assumed because it was of the Zelda lineage, it would be automatically good
Which I don't agree 100% with, but yeah in the Skyward Sword game they were definitely more going through the motions than actually working to rock the boat and break expectations
@Fredy31 the game intro has a frame at the end where the characters are stuck in T-Pose. Was noticed soon after the game launch. It is still there afaik
@Fredy31 don't you dare to mistreat the game that finally gave us "Adorable Zelda"
Hylia save us from them turning to Ocarina grumpy Zelda again.
@Fredy31 Also... do you want to know how bad it is?
let me check... I had a video of the intro skipping frames
@Ronan I think calling the video I just posted "optimization" is quite a stretch. I get the principle, I am saying that they implemented it horribly like all the rest
@Ronan multiple areas can easily crash the game, especially if you dare to go to fast ridding the local legendary. Which is kinda one of the game main advertised gimmik
Got a little better after the updates, still not resolved.
