@Daemons notice that it was about the "agenda", not about people thinking it is convenient to buy digital for various reasons including saving space and so on.
The point is that neither Sony or any other company pushing for a digital only future is doing that out of "charity" or "reduce pollution" or anything similar
Their only intent is getting more money since the digital game is sold for the SAME price even if they didn't had to pay for the disk
If I buy on Amazon I get
- a physical media
- the ability to play the game forever
- the ability to sell the game
- a physical media

If I buy the digital version I get:
- a sequence of 1 and 0 that I can print and use as a wallpaper for my living room
- a timed license that can be unilaterally revoked at any point should the company want to scam you (just look at old Disney scam or the recent mess with Sony and discovery channel)
- the ability to be unable to sell the game
- the fuzzy feeling to know you contributed to make some rich guy a little richer for having sold you the game at the same price of the disk version
