@Daemons notice that it was about the "agenda", not about people thinking it is convenient to buy digital for various reasons including saving space and so on.
The point is that neither Sony or any other company pushing for a digital only future is doing that out of "charity" or "reduce pollution" or anything similar
Their only intent is getting more money since the digital game is sold for the SAME price even if they didn't had to pay for the disk
Just a random sample from the PS Store front page
AMAZON:
PS Store:
Same price.
If I buy on Amazon I get
- a physical media
- the ability to play the game forever
- the ability to sell the game
If I buy the digital version I get:
- a sequence of 1 and 0 that I can print and use as a wallpaper for my living room
- a timed license that can be unilaterally revoked at any point should the company want to scam you (just look at old Disney scam or the recent mess with Sony and discovery channel)
- the ability to be unable to sell the game
- the fuzzy feeling to know you contributed to make some rich guy a little richer for having sold you the game at the same price of the disk version
Again, if someone is fine with these conditions for the sake of "No disk taking space in my home" it is totally fine, but please don't tell me this is the future.
This is just the latest corporate scam sugarcoated in a "it is more convenient this way" paint

Ahh, PS. You were a bad company back then, you’re a bad company now.

@Daemons It is not line this is a Sony specific issue. We were just happening to talk about Sony.

@SPArcheon-onstrike Yes. Most mega-corporations are bad. Sony just happened to be the immediate target.

Tangentially related, didn't Steve Wozniak at some point congratulate some people for jailbreaking the iPhone?
Though that (of course) violates the EULA now.

Q: Should the accepted answer have all the info?

DaemonsI posted a question somewhat recently (start of the month) that currently has two answers. Neither answer has all the info, and both answer posters know that. I'm hesitant to accept either, as neither has all the info, and I don't want to just pick one answer and edit in the relevant data from th...

@SPArcheon-onstrike Are you sure the physical one isn't just licensed as well?
