I was wondering what a beacon's beam is or what it's made of. (e. g. Is it an entity etc.) and how I can have a beacon beam without a beacon.

Q: Minecraft PE map doesn’t work

I bought mine coins and bought three maps 2 out of 3 work the one that doesn’t work won’t load and it crashes Minecraft. It is called Minecraft:Jungle

I personally don't like noise cancelling phones, and it causes a lot of battery drain on wireless ones

Sony's are great but I don't know much about their more expensive headphones.

Sennheiser are my preferred brand

@Wipqozn I have the original Bose BT headphones and they aren't bad (it's the bluetooth part that's not great, not the headphones themselves), I think the QC35 IIs are said to be much better than these and I've been thinking about upgrading (in part because usually I can get trade-in credit at the Bose store >_>)

I think for my next big gaming purchase I'm down to choosing between a Switch and a Quest

But they're so close in price, and so different in every other way, that I have no way to compare them

Yep totally Facebook did a great job collecting the best games from every other platform

But there are also some real heavy hitters on the Switch

Though of course I was hoping they would finally announce the rumored new Switch hardware at E3

That would have helped my decision I think

Here's my opinion. VR right now AFAIK doesn't yet have a KILLER app. There are no mainstream games right now that really show the power of VR, and most games are either ports of older games or glorified tech demos. And the Quest AFAIK doesn't really have the processing power for high-end games

So it's entirely possible that if you get a Quest in the next month, there will be a Quest 2.0 with stronger components in a year or 2

And it's very possible there's a new switch of some kind in a year

The processing power argument is fair but things like Super Hot VR and Tilt Brush are kind of amazing

As for the Switch hardware: it's most likely going to be like the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X: you're not going to have any games specifically for the Switch 2.0, because Nintendo doesn't want to alienate the millions that already bought a Switch

Right now the previous Oculus headset, the Go, is not compatible and is much lower powered compared to the Quest

Honestly, I think that at the speed VR is evolving, I don't think it's worth just yet to get a headset

I haven't yet used VR, but I frequently hear people say there isn't yet a killer app that makes them go "this is the single game that justifies paying for a VR hadset"

Something that transforms VR from just another display device to an experience you can't repeat on another platform
