Q: Compost in Minecraft

In the new Minecraft update, 1.14, there are several new blocks, on of which is called a composter. What does this block do? Is it just decoration, like so many other new blocks, or does it have a purpose?

Whenever you get more than 42 alkahest it kinda melts down and destroys not only itself but everything in the first tier or two of machines

Which is fun, because you need more than 42 alkahest to produce solution :D

It had been tagged "myst" but that didn't seem right because realMyst and Myst are significantly different releases. I created the tag "real-myst" for this purpose. Does that seem right?

i was hoping i could reduce the amount for a bit and then let it start growing again

@Dragonrage Most of the things that require alkahest don't actually consume it, they just need to to exist

And it doesn't really matter, because reducing it back below 42 doesn't prevent it from melting down

In Rage 2 the Crusher achievement requires you to kill an Abadon Crusher Mutant with your Pheonix vehicle. As far as I can tell the only location where Abadon Crusher Mutants spawn and are still accessible with the Phoenix is at "D and D's Hood" in The Wilds region. Unfortunately, I killed these ...

Q: Can I connect a generic Bluetooth headphone to Xbox 360?

I have a generic Bluetooth headphone, I wonder if I can connect it to my Xbox 360 so I can play without bothering people around me with loud sounds. I have tried to pair it with the "connect button" next to the USB ports, but nothing happens:

It was more that I found the puzzles obtuse. Could've just been my younger self's viewpoint, but I found myself brute forcing too many things, which is awful for an adventure game.

Myst was like a proof of concept that Riven refined and improved upon. Also, I think most of my fondness for it is that it was rather visually stunning for a PC game at the time.

Re Myst, all the puzzle solutions in realmyst are the same as in OG myst/Myst Masterpiece, only the UI/graphics are different. So the answer should be the same regardless and I think tagging it "myst" would be appropriate, since anyone who's played the original game would be able to answer that even if they've never touched realmyst.

@JasonBerkan None of the puzzles need to be brute-forced, but it's possible to encounter a puzzle before you encounter any of the clues for it, and some of the puzzles can be brute-forced

And, IIRC, if you visit Selenitic before Mechanical there is a puzzle you have to brute-force to get out, since all the clues for it are in Mechanical.

so I decided to revisit Freespace today

And FS2, plus the FS1 and FS1ST ports/remasters, plus a selection of well-reviewed FCs like Blue Planet, Vassago's Dirge, and WC Saga weighs in at 50GB

I think that makes FS2 + mods the single largest game I have installed

@ToxicFrog I had a demo for free space 2 with a joystick I bought years ago. Loved it but never found the full game

@HalfEmpty it's on GOG now

It's also really good, and since it went open-source ~10 years ago has gotten a slew of fixes and upgrades, including a complete graphical overhaul and enhanced ports of the first game + expansion to the FS2 engine.

(as well as a bunch of fan-campaigns, some of which don't even need the original game)

It plays fine with KBM but I find myself wondering if I want to pick up a joystick again, or even a HOTAS
