Q: I dominated a planet/moon/station but their ships are still hostile to me. How to fix it?

So I am enjoying this first dominated planet I have. The problem is, they are still attacking me. Did I really dominated this planet? If yes, how do I make them friendly again to me? Relinquish them?

Uhg, tired and sore... three loads of various furniture loaded and unloaded into a medium sized trailer. Then distributed among the children/grandchildren. One more load out to the lake, and Grandpa's house is nearly cleaned out.

On the plus side - my family is amazing; sometimes you hear horror stories about dividing up estates of the deceased. Not us; "Does anyone else want [thing]? I'll take it if no-one else has any strong attachment to it...".

I got some basket chairs from the 50's.

@TrentHawkins That is kinda great

Kinda sad that we can't take everything though - there's a big 3-piece china cabinet wall unit. Very nice, but big, heavy, and takes up so much room. It's staying with the house - the problem of whomever buys it.

And we had to give away a nice coffee table... which is sorta fitting. The story goes that one day a sears truck pulled up and delivered the table... only - my grandparents hadn't bought a table. They argued with the driver, but he had his work order - deliver it to their address. They tried for a few years to figure it out; Neighbour who gave the wrong address? family/friend bought it for them? nope and nope...

The coffee table found its self another owner for free - it's journey continues...

@GnomeSlice yeah - you can only argue with Sears that there might have been a mistake for so long before you just go "Whatever, we tried. Ours now, I guess". It was the 60s/70s.

I have browsed many games mainly on itch.io and many developers offer a Mac version of their game along with the Windows version. The Mac version of all those games is significantly larger in file size than the Windows version. Why is that?

Any advice on fluid distribution? Basically the first crystaliser takes all the sludge, leaving none for any others attached to the same pipe

It can be run 1 sludgizer : 2 crystalliser, just let it fill up the pipes by rotating the crystallisers away for a bit

After that it's fine

(the ratio is perfect so it just keeps them both full all the time)

You can also do complicated things but why would you

(I've got a ferrous thing setup where I use a power switch to only enable the crystallizers when there's > 1k sludge in the tank)

@Memor-X many people don't trust their CC info to anyone but paypal, so it would definitely be a loss to some extent

@Chippies yeh which is why i said an inconvenience. easy solution is to take out another account, a debit one, and use that for all internet transactions and only put money in it when you're going to buy something

@Memor-X that seems like a pretty major inconvenience that most people wouldn't go through

and many european debit cards don't work for online transactions

tbh not sure if NA debit cards even work for online transactions

@Chippies Actually, that's pretty much what I do for online purchases now: I have a prepaid credit card that at most has around 100 EUR on it

there are prepaid credit card options (not available everywhere) as well as prepaid steam cards (also not available everywhere)

Except for some stores that allow me to pay using my card reader (mainly Belgian stores) and Steam (gift cards or wallet)

@Chippies huh, didn't know that. must be my narrow viewpoint of just knowing Australian Banking as when i went to start buying stuff online i just went into another bank, told them i wanted a debit card, they set up the account and have me the account numbers for me to use until the card came in the mail.

all I'm saying is that while there are alternatives, the average user won't go through all the hoops to buy from steam if they don't trust giving their CC info to valve and if they stop accepting paypal

@Memor-X when I lived in Latvia, my friend had a debit card that worked for online transactions, whereas mine didn't

not sure if all debit cards from his bank supports it or if he had to ask for a special card

last time I tried using a debit card from Canada for an online transaction, it didn't work, but that was couple years ago

@Chippies could it just be that it wasn't MasterCard or Visa? like as far as i know regardless what kind of account it is, so long as the card is one of those 2 it's generally accepted everywhere

@Memor-X there are different types of Visa (not sure about mastercard), and only some of them are eligible for online transactions. Debit cards, in my experience, usually have that Visa stamp that's no good for online transactions

I remember that I used to have my debit card linked to Paypal, but then my bank said they no longer allowed it because Paypal didn't have proper security

I don't have a debit card nearby to check what visa stamp it has on it, since I don't use debit for anything

Something about Paypal not needing the pin code or CVV for transactions, can't quite remember

@Nzall probably the pin code, because paypal does ask for cvv when adding the card

except nothing online asks for pin code, so that makes no sense

Belgian is weird though. We have this debit card system for online transactiosn that involves using a card reader, but only stores that do major business in Belgium support it

and stores outside of Belgium don't go through the bother of supporting a system that very few other countries use

@Ash I don't even know where my current debit card is, I only used it once to activate it, because we had to do that to activate the new bank account. Soon after I received my credit card and the debit card has been missing since (somewhere in the house)

There isn't really a good way to get energy from most gasses anyway, at least as far as I've seen so far

I mean, I've gotten to the point of having a use for hydrogen and oxygen but I'm still burning most of it off because that's how the ratios work out

I think I actually have to find a different power source for my Seablock factory. My charcoal production is currently limited by tree seed generators, and making it with algae is super inefficient
