@Sterno I had just started a new run and I found a chest hanging out by itself in a room. Then there was a zombie in the room, so I was like "meh zombies are lame". Then the zombie didn't die or get knocked back when I attacked it. Then I was dead.

The trap rooms are actually pretty amazing.

Though that town now has a 24 hour Wal-Mart, which is just completely unnecessary, IMO.

Q: How is level determined?

I'm pretty sure when I started the game, my guy was level 1. After playing a while, all my guys seem to be level 8. Do later generations level up at a fixed rate, making the game easier the more you play, or is it tied to upgrades I've purchased (such as upgrading knight to paladin)?
