2:00 AM
<3 VTM:B

@SaintWacko If you haven't read it yet, do so. It is amazing.

@SaintWacko if you like Gaiman and haven't read AG, fix that. It's certainly his best work

@LessPop_MoreFizz Yusssssss! =D

> TotalBiscuit introduces you to a gentle-paced strategy game by the creators of waterboarding

2:02 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz But that means I have to add more books to my library...
Bah

@SaintWacko It is worth it.

user15026
@saintwacko AG is amazing. TRUST ME.

@Fluttershy I left
Was at dinner.

In other news, word is HBO American Gods in 2014.

He wrote Stardust, right?
I've only seen the movie. Was the book good?

2:06 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz Whaaaat!? Like a miniseries?
@StrixVaria The book was better than the movie.

@Fluttershy Guess that's going on my already-too-long list.

@StrixVaria =D

@fluttershy actual series, not miniseries. Commit is for 3 seasons I think?

@StrixVaria You should just go ahead and add all of Gaiman's stuff to that list. >_> All of it.

@Fluttershy Let me read one and then figure out where to go from there.

2:07 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz That is amazing. I'm not even sure how they're gonna do that... But that is amazing.

Correction, six seasons

@Fluttershy Neil Gaiman is the one who wrote Stardust?

@StrixVaria If you're going to start with one Gaiman book over the other, I'd go with Good Omens, or Neverwhere

Each book on the list is generally a placeholder for an entire series of books.
@Fluttershy I choose Neverwhere based only on title.

2:08 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz or @AshleyNunn I'm not steering Strix wrong here, am I?

I'd start with American Gods.

What is American Gosd about?

I'd start with Good Omens only for someone who is already a Pratchett fan.

@LessPop_MoreFizz this album is horrible/amazing.

Otherwise, always start with AG
@mana My Dick?

2:09 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz I haven't read any Pratchett yet, but he's on the list too.

Baker Dick is magical.

@StrixVaria Good Omens was a collaboration. Gaiman and Pratchett.

@LessPop_MoreFizz Yes.

@LessPop_MoreFizz But who wouldn't be a Pratchett fan?

@strix I'd still start with AG. I wouldn't suggest Good Omens as a starting point for either Pratchett or Gaiman. But it's a good segue between the two.

2:10 AM
@Fluttershy Kinda the best combination ever

I feel like for a new reader, American Gods does everything Neverwhere does better than Neverwhere.
@mana Fields of Dick is also special.

Jesus Christ, what the hell is this.
> ....'coding' is not about one coder impressing the other coder about how well he/she codes. it is about the Human interface..

Again, What is American Gods about?

@Raven every mythological figure ever is real.
For example, Odin is a traveling con man, using the name Mr. Wednesday.

@Raven I happen to endorse that book, heavily.

2:15 AM
These old European and othergods are at war with new 'American Gods' such as Fame and Money.

@PicnicButton Gross site.

@LessPop_MoreFizz Xenu and Tezcatlipoca? D:

@LessPop_MoreFizz And Television!

@LessPop_MoreFizz I don't.
Whoa.

@fbueckert Terrible

2:15 AM
That's profound.

@PicnicButton dat flash

And that saying is essentially an excuse to go, "I suck at coding! But it doesn't matter!"

In fact, I think it's intentionally shitty. The links aren't even clickable.

@RavenDreamer If you've never read it, you should.

@Raven Neil Gaiman is pretty cool.

2:16 AM
Fred Saberhagen.

Also, one of the 'interesting links' is this.

I have a signed first edition of American Gods. I R Speshul.

@LessPop_MoreFizz I am incredibly jealous.
I have a signed copy of Real Life Comics Vol. 1! =D

@PicnicButton Jesus, what is that?

@winterswift I think it's a joke site.
It must be.

2:18 AM
@Fluttershy Also Anansi Boys, and Smoke & Mirrors.

@LessPop_MoreFizz Triply jealous. =(

I think whoever created that site just found a bunch of hilarious links to put on the side.

@LessPop_MoreFizz I'm trying to get an autographed copy of Alice: Madness Returns! =D

@Fluttershy I probably shouldn't tell you about my various one degree of separation relationships to the guy then.

2:20 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz I don't even know what that means.

@LessPop_MoreFizz I am jealous
Also, I want a signed copy of Good Omens

@PicnicButton Well, the Facebook page is a dead link, but someone's actually posted on the Twitter account.

Ok, a few hours spent punching out some stored procedures is enough overtime for one day.

@Fluttershy I am friends with a number of people who are friends with NG.

2:23 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz That is pretty awesome. =3

@MBraedley Nice.
@Wipqozn One of us!

Whoa.
"Wizard" is a race in Lord of the Rings?

@MBraedley tortoise highfivE
@RavenDreamer Sort of.

@LessPop_MoreFizz According to Facebook, I have one degree of separation from Rebecca Black. I need to scrub my friends list.

@MBraedley What the. Why is an asgard wearing shades.

2:24 AM
@PicnicButton Cause I put them on him

@RavenDreamer: It's the title the people of middle earth gave to the Istari, who were Mairar.

@MBraedley Where did the image come from in the first place lol

Source: LOTR wiki.

but you flatter me without being able to immediately tell that it's shopped

2:25 AM
Also, I'm going to watch MLP so toodles for now

@MBraedley It's pretty clear when you look at it in full view, but from far away it looks alright.

I should put a shaded monocle on my shark.

@PicnicButton Just two random images online. Actually, one is from the stargate wiki

@MBraedley It's actually pretty good.
No obvious aliasing.

@Ullallulloo D'oh. Somebody should revoke my geek card. I so didn't recognize that as an Asgard.

2:27 AM
@Ullallulloo The colour to alpha actually did most of the work for me. I only had to touch up the arm to make it less transparent.

@RavenDreamer You should

Then adjust the levels, fix the size, and boom, it's done

@MBraedley Oh, you actually have Photoshop?

@Ullallulloo No, I wouldn't use it enough to make it worth my while. I use GIMP

And now... I play a rhythm-based strategy game.

2:29 AM
@Fluttershy Oh, oh, let me guess.

@MBraedley Ah, I lack the will to use that.

...... I got nothing.

Paint.NET doesn't have that though.

|genre = God gameRhythm gameStrategy |modes = |media = Download(PlayStation Network) }} Orgarhythm is a video game for the PlayStation Vita developed by Acquire and published by Xseed Games. It is a hybrid between god simulation, rhythm and strategy. The game would also be available on Nvidia Tegra 3 tablet devices. Gameplay The player is the God of Light, whom controls three different groups of warriors symbolizing the elements of earth, fire and water. The player commands the God of Light through rhythmic commands; once to start the battle sequence, again to select the ele...

@Ullallulloo Single window mode makes it incredibly more useful!

2:29 AM
@Fluttershy Theatrythem or Pata-pon?
@Fluttershy Definitey had to read that one twice.

@RavenDreamer I have both of those. <_<

"Shark And Snark" would make a good cartoon show.

@GraceNote Are you volunteering to cohost?

I am the snark to your shark.

2:31 AM
@MBraedley I did not know that was a thing.
Guess I'll reinstall GIMP.

@Ullallulloo It has been for a little while. But it's not enabled by default

GIMP is pretty bloated these days.
Paint.NET is maybe 1/10 the size
(And good enough for my needs)

I had to use Inkscape to make mine, so I can probably work it.

@RavenDreamer But not as bloated as Photoshop. I've tried Paint.NET, and it just doesn't do it for me. Too much in between a drawing, painting, and photo touch-up app.

Honestly, if MS Paint did transparency, I'd stick with it.

2:35 AM
@RavenDreamer It took me so long to figure out how to resize something in Paint yesterday.
I missed menus.
Although that's not a real criticism if you know how to use it, I guess.

@RavenDreamer I only use Paint for cropping images that need nothing else done to them, or adding annotations to raster images. Everything else is in GIMP or the drawing program de jour.

Alright guys, I have to leave so I can go do laundry so I have clothes to wear tomorrow.
(I have to leave one house, to go to another house, to move the laundry to a third house, where I can do it)

@RavenDreamer Clothes are overrated.

(This is the wrong way to do laundry)
@MBraedley ah, but dresscodes are mandatory

I had forgotten how easy Inferno is now at MP 1.
It's like stealing candy from kids.

Q: Local Vis Aura maximum dropped?

YawusI managed to find a Silverwood Sapling the other day and planted it on top of my house (which is pretty much just a hole in the ground). After several days, it finally grew into a tree and I noticed something odd. Originally, my local Aura was 468/468. However, when my tree grew, it dropped to 95...

Q: Best follower in Skyrim?

DylanI've just started my second play through of Skyrim and I want to have a follower which one should i pick my first choices would either be Uthgerd, Lydia, or Kharjo. This time I'm trying to be more of an assassin/archer but all of them seem to give me away any ideas or should I go alone?

Curse you internet.

@PicnicButton Do you have really bad internet?

Some times.

Aaaand Orgarhythm kinda sucks.

2:45 AM
Tonight is apparently one of those times.

Ah, I see. Interesting.

@Wipqozn Not really.

@PicnicButton What's your average download speed?

@Fluttershy I have no idea. I don't track it.
Right now, it's saying it's going to take an hour to download 8 MB...
Guess I'll pass on that for nwo

Wow, that's really bad.

2:47 AM
@PicnicButton Dial-up?

Yeah, it's bad.
Some times it works pretty well.

Do you share with roommates/family? If so, tell them to turn off their torrents.

Family.
Also everyone else in the neighbourhood.

Downloading games must be a real pain with that kind of internet.

Depends on the game.

2:50 AM
ah, I see. Ever run into issues with steam?

Someone in here linked a game called Corrypt a few days ago, and that one wasn't too bad.
I suck at it though.

Damn my overcast skies. It' be nice to see the moon and Jupiter when their separation is so small.

@PicnicButton Yeah, that was Gnomeslice. you two seem to have a very similiar interest in games. You'll need to ask him for some recommendations some time!

BECAUSE MY DICK, DICK, IS ON YOUR LIST. BECAUSE MY DICK IS ON YOUR LIST. WHEN YOU TURN OFF THE LIIIIIIGHTS.

There's a distraction.

2:52 AM
@Wipqozn Steam definitely doesn't run on dial-up. It uses tons of internet for seemingly no reason lots of times.

@Fluttershy What is it?

@Wipqozn Steam friend request sent.

@fbueckert Oh, that's why I could never find you on steam.

@Wipqozn Is his name the same as his Akaneiro name?

@PicnicButton I have no idea.

2:53 AM
@PicnicButton It's a Steam version of a Cthulhu-mythos card/dice tabletop game.

@Fluttershy ...That's different.

@PicnicButton How so?

@Fluttershy Sounds weird.
I was never really big on the whole Cthulhu mythos anyway.

@Mana Why'd we need a distraction?

2:57 AM
@PicnicButton oh my god this is adorable.
I had a cat once named Bijou.

Your cat is about to fall from the back of a chair, do you:

a) help him down
b) take a picture

@PicnicButton Obviously take a picture. He's gonna land on his feet anyway.

It got chased by a fox up a tree and then had an aneurysm the next morning and died while peeing itself.

@Fluttershy That's a very good question!

@Mana That's terrible... o.o
