I wasn't a big participant in the low-res gaming era.

Rather annoyed at this closure. Yes, mechanics are subject to change and will right up to the last minute. But content, insofar as "what are the names of the dungeons and how many bosses are in them" is not going to change this late in a beta. The commitment to that sort of stuff was made months ago when all the art assets etc. were locked in.

There is nothing speculative about it.

@LessPop_MoreFizz That's the thing: the only complexity to these questions is that Blizzard hasn't fully talked about/released the content. Once that information is available, the questions are completely useless. So what we have, in terms of content, are a mixture of first impressions, tea leaf reading, and people's speculations.

@MarkTrapp Also, this is incorrect. Midwinter fought bosses from all three raid instances today.

@MarkTrapp I'd argue that "What's the objective of [Battleground]" is, in addition to being non-speculative, a really good question that will draw a lot of launch traffic.

WoW is... not particularly good about documenting that sort of thing in game in an in-your-face way, instead relying on the playerbase to disseminate the information.

@MarkTrapp I'll reiterate: I spent a year playing AV and having no fucking clue what was going on or how it was won. I only ever learned when they 'streamlined' it and added the resources mechanic to make it go faster.

Blizzard is pretty opaque about documenting battlegrounds in game.

Once these things are released for real, anyone who takes the 10 minutes to look into "what's the new talent system like" or "how do I move the mine carts in Silvershroud mine?" will have their answer in game.

TBQH, the best solution would be to do something similar to the mini-promo that was done in the week or so prior to d3 and reward questions about diablo/diablo-2. Which is to say, make this promo about any and all WoW questions.

Among other things, it solves the tracking problem and fits in better with our tagging system.

And it also happens to encourage better less speculative questions.

I just think there's a line between "stuff that's not explained very well anywhere" and "stuff you'll find out if you just play the game for a half hour". It was fun because a bunch of us picked up a couple of starter packs and learned the game from the ground up, and got half the school into it. (Well, half of the really nerdy parts of the school)

I always played blue too, because I liked being able to break the rules.

Although, near the end of when my group played, I had this awesome mono-red burn deck that was only 40 cards. Probably not tournament legal. Nothing but direct damage. If I didn't win by turn 5, I was boned.

I think me favoring counterspell decks was about being an ass to people who crafted decks that took a while to get started, or relied on specific card combos. Kinda like attacking the Middle East every turn in Risk when another player is trying to get the Asia army bonus

In minecraft 1.3.1, the different types of villagers are now important as they trade different things. However, not all types will necessarily spawn at once. If I occupy a village that lacks, say, a blacksmith, can I encourage one to spawn, perhaps by building a forge?
