Quicksave before a conversation. Finish conversation, don't like outcome, decide to redo it.

F9 to quick load...

And it autosaved right after the conversation.

And quickload prioritizes a newer autosave.

if it's BF3, yeah, you can be "spawn camped" if you spawn at a FOB or whatever, but you're picking that location.
