Q: How many hit points does a sieged city have remaining?

I am attacking a city and would like to know how many hitpoints it has remaining. I have tried hovering over the hex and city plaque. All you can see from the screenshot is that the city is in the red with hitpoints.

Q: Why do Minecraft double doors behave the way they do with redstone?

I've seen videos that explain how to make redstone double doors, but none of them really explain why redstone double doors work that way, just that they do. Is there an explanation for their behaviour?
