i never used to vote on questions i didn't know anything about.

so no star wars, star trek, harry potter, story-id, etc.

it was only recently that i started voting questions up just based on being well written, so i've been closing in on 600 pretty quick

Story-ID questions are surprisingly easy to vote on. Detailed description of story? +1. Vague or too broad? -1. You don't have to know anything about the story in question.

i know nothing about star wars outside the first 3 movies; nothing about ST other than TOS/TNG

Though there's a new one asked just now which I upvoted more because the story sounded good than because it was particularly detailed. The OP already found the book since asking the question, so I encouraged them to self-answer.

i think they're terrible questions in general and a bad fit for the site, so I always felt bad judging individual ones.

If they turn out to be one of those disappearing OPs, I'll do another CW answer for it.

Any other candidates notice an increase in receiving upvotes on old and random stuff? Makes me feel like people are browsing to my profile and checking out some of my questions and answers.
