What's in common between all kinds of things that are on topic here?
First thought was a spark plug - while prevalent its not universal, with diesels or electric vehicles.
Tools? Spanners/wrenches, hammer perhaps?
Road signs are applicable to everything here, perhaps some of the global standard imagery there is a source for inspiration ?
I like the chequered flag, but leery of how much "racing" you'd want to imply. Certainly that's a component, but not the main.
What about a tiled composite of photos people have already posted on existing questions/answers ?
