@Martin - Which type of tool has more strength? CR-V (Chrome Vanadium) or those tools that are black colour! I don't know what they are made of! They are just black.
Something like this:
They are not shiny like CR-V tools.

@NarimanAsgharian That's a perfect question for the site.

@Martin - Thanks for your answer to my question in the site. I bought a CR-V chrome coated 22 mm socket for tightening and loosening my crankshaft pulley bolt with hand tools. The required torque for the pulley is 130 nm. Did I buy the wrong socket for the application? I used it twice without any problem.

@NarimanAsgharian Seems fine

@NarimanAsgharian I don't but I'll go get one after work if you want. Pictures don't really tell you anything useful though

2:20 PM
@RoryAlsop - I'm really interested in tools. I'm always curious to see other people's tools!

@NarimanAsgharian they just look like a socket set. You can't tell anything useful from them.

@Martin - Have you ever serviced a Ferrari or a Lamborghini in your life?
@RoryAlsop - I'm not looking for anything useful. Ok. I don't insist!

@NarimanAsgharian I'll remember to take a pic when I put the motorbike away

@RoryAlsop Thanks for your kindness! By the way, do you have any video of your bike's acceleration?

@NarimanAsgharian Don't think so.

2:24 PM
No. I neither own one nor work as a mechanic..
I just heard that it is a major pain to service them, apparently ease of maintenance wasn't a big design goal..

@Martin Since you said you are in Italy, I thought you may have some experience with Italian supercars.

@Martin I have managed to break a couple :-)

@NarimanAsgharian People at my location are shy about their wealth. They don't show it off. Most supercars one sees are from tourists.
@RoryAlsop That's not something I get to hear often :)
That happened on race and track days?

@Martin track days where you get to drive other people's expensive cars are always fun. I've killed a gearbox and a wheel bearing :-)
@Martin yep

@RoryAlsop Huh? You can get there and drive somebodies Ferrari?

2:33 PM
@Martin most tracks here have ferarri days or supercar days

@Martin - I have a friend who lives in Austria but often travels to Italy with his own car. He told me that you see lots of Fiats out there. Panda, 500, etc.
Mostly diesel cars.

@RoryAlsop How does it work? Do these owners just want to share their car?
Yes, Fiats are popular. Good price-performance ratio.
We mostly see a car in an pragmatic way: As a mean to get from A to B without much hassle and as safe as possible. City folks like small cars since a lot of places still have the street layout from the middle ages.

Is there any official Peugeot-Citroen PSA dealer in Italy?

@NarimanAsgharian There is one in every major city

@Martin I mostly see a car as the journey in itself. I know I have to get somewhere so I want to enjoy the journey as much as possible

2:48 PM
@NarimanAsgharian Diesel cars are quite popular. The fuel is cheaper than petrol and the mileage is good.
@RoryAlsop Understandable. Maybe there will come a point in life when I also see it that way.

@Martin I have ... always been a petrolhead :-)
Anything with an engine, sails or wings really makes my day

@RoryAlsop I have a friend that was totally into cars and bikes. Now he prefers downhill mountainbiking.
Would that be something for you?

@Martin As I get older, that sort of thing is less exciting for me (as I know I'd hurt myself)

@RoryAlsop At the moment all I can think of is to get home and care for the little kids and continue to work on our new house.. At the moment there isn't much place for anything else

@Martin very true. I am lucky that my eldest 2 are now adults, and youngest is almost at driving age (so we have been getting her off road and karting training to get her ready)
I too spent a number of years just focusing on the kids and work

3:03 PM
@RoryAlsop There are those precious moments when we make a bonfire in the garden (being in the country has it advantages) and roast some chestnuts or sausages. That's a moment when all the kids become calm.
@RoryAlsop You are indeed lucky. I once put by oldest on some kids go-kart track. He did well for his first time..

@Martin I think mine are upset I didn't put them on the track more when they were 6. So they could have grown up like Lewis Hamilton :-)

3:22 PM
@RoryAlsop Please don't tell me that, I already feel guilty :)

@Martin lol
