It was suggested I ask here: I have a lease BMW 335D M Sport Touring (F31/2016) and I am not permitted to alter it without reparing any changes. So, if I fit a tow bar I have to remove it at the end of the lease.

I've asked various dealers and I get conflicting answers. Having to replace the bumper would be a costly extra.

Can it be done in a way that definately does not need a bumper cut? :ref https://mechanics.stackexchange.com/questions/80393/it-it-possible-to-fit-a-detachable-tow-bar-to-a-bmw-335d-m-sport-touring-f31-20

@JasonMorgan - What have you looked at thus far? You stated you've been getting mixed signals? What sort of stuff have you been told?
Obviously, they've either said you could or you couldn't make it work?

Obvioously I've not tried kits from many suppliers and many fitters on this car. I think part of the problem is that it's a rare car, do not that many have been done. This car is based on the non-M chassis, but with a different body kit. e.g. I've had a responce from one fitter saying no cut needed, but then looked at the manufacturers own fitting instructions for the same item and found a cut IS requried. As a kit+fitting costs £600-£700 it's not something I want to order wrongly

@JasonMorgan - At that price, you could probably get a special one made for it which wouldn't interfere with the body panels.
