@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 That cover is made of plastic and the sealant is a rubber gasket, probably why those small leaks are so common. Thanks for the detailed explanation, I'll do as you said: Follow the tightening sequence from the manual (it's crossed from the inside out) and first make the screw only touch the cover, then give a final turn
@IanC - With a rubber gasket, look for it to bulge out just a little. You should be able to see it "peak" or move once the bolt is tight enough. Don't tighten it past that AT ALL or you run the risk of busting something. And DO NOT tighten it to 13Nm ... that's way too much torque over the 8Nm you should be tightening to.
I mean't I'll see how 13Nm feels like on a testing screw, so I can apply a little under the force I used on the cover screws
@Martin Yeah, I imagine many torques are there more like a guideline but don't have to be very precise. The impact wrench trick sounds hard haha
